Moving to Substack!
After some issues that came up with this platform (technical access preferences and the whole tier system) I have decided that we are moving over to Substack! thetormentedwriterssociety.substack.com That's where the writers are, anyway!

Launching January 7!
For the last half of this year (2024), I've been quietly working in the shadows on a huge project called The Tormented Writers Society. What I wanted to do simply wouldn't fit in a course, and I think we're all pretty "coursed out" anyway. But what if I could teach different systems I have become an expert in, and relay that information to fellow writers in a way that made sense and applied to their business? That made much more sense. I wouldn't be "locked in" to any specific topic and could instead combine a bunch of different tech together to get mission-specific or task-specific goals accomplished for writers. For example, being able to generate 52 weeks of pins with the click of a button after importing 52 images, all with different looks, so you don't have to spend every single month creating Pinterest pins. You could do the same with Instagram. And any other social media. Right now I'm working on an automation version using video clips. You'll probably see something on that pretty soon in January. But I just wanted to hop on to let everyone know that the official group with all of the templates, full tutorials, and documentation on how to build some super cool automation builds is launching on January 7! Very excited! We'll still keep the free group even if it does cost me to keep it open. I think we need a free group to encourage questions, find out what writers need more help with, and as a place to see if they find value in what I'm providing to the group with the previews. Anyway, hope you join us all on January 7, and that we can build a big community of writers! For now, enjoy the free group and the content I've uploaded here so far. :)

Free Scene Structure Template
Fellow architects of agony, Your resident template tormentor here with a gift for your writing artillery. Yes, you read that right—a FREE Scrivener template that might actually make your scenes do what you want them to do. (I know, I'm shocked at my own generosity too.) I've crafted a Scene Structure Template for Scrivener that breaks down the anatomy of a scene like a literary coroner. Perfect for those moments when your scene feels as dead as your protagonist's hopes and dreams. What's inside this little box of narrative necessity: • Rising Action and Complications (because aimless wandering is for your characters, not your plot) • Scene Climax (for when "everything goes wrong" needs structure) • Scene Analysis (from bad to worse to "oh no, why did I do this to them") • Pacing (because suffering should have a flow to it) • Revision Checklist (so your story flows like tears on a manuscript) This template is available to ALL members of our tortured community. Yes, even you lurkers who haven't committed to The Society yet. Consider it a gateway drug to better writing. Download it now in the "Free Resources" section of our Skool hub. And if you find yourself wanting more tools for creative torment... well, The Society's doors are always open for those ready to embrace the darkness fully. *Because even free torture should be properly organized.* Visit The Classroom to access the template. Remember: Structure is just organized chaos in disguise. --- Ready to elevate your creative torment? The Society's vault holds our complete collection of Scrivener templates, including: • The "Beautiful Disaster" Character Arc Template • "Descent into Madness" Plot Framework • "Organized Chaos" Series Bible • "Method to Madness" Research Tracker • And many more instruments of literary destruction Plus, you'll get access to our full library of writing resources, tutorials, and prompts designed to make your characters question their existence (and possibly make you question yours).
