Hi everyone,
This week’s topic is stress — it can slowly sneak up on us, and often we don’t notice it until it starts affecting our body and mind.
Many women I work with are naturally carers — we think ahead, we worry about others, we organise, we feel and support. It’s a beautiful strength, but it also means our minds can stay quite active. Over time, this can build into low-grade, long-term stress without us even realising it.
I notice this especially often with high achievers — and I include myself in that group. We tend to think everything is under control because we’re managing, getting things done, and moving forward, so we assume there’s no stress.
But what I often notice (in myself and others) is that the mind stays very busy. We don’t fully switch off when we get the chance, and over time that can start showing up as:
• poorer sleep quality
• mood changes
• feeling a bit more reactive or overwhelmed
• or simply not being as present as we’d like to be
Stress doesn’t always look dramatic — sometimes it’s just a constant background pressure, decision making and tempo. Keep in mind that even with health and mindset, we can organise ourselves to be overly busy and put pressure on ourselves. The key is to relax into what you are doing and enjoy your journey without rushing. The outcome is better, believe me.
👉 I’d love to hear from you — have you noticed stress showing up in subtle ways lately?
Inside the premium section this week, I’ve included:
