God’s Gift

When we think of God’s gift as Christians most of us automatically think of Jesus and His sacrifice for us, however, in Ephesians 2:8 we learn that not only our very lives but FAITH itself is a gift from God. Now this faith grows as we get closer to God, but like the life that we have and live each day, we did not get it on our own. God gave it to us!! We cannot boast about it because we did not do anything to get it. God gave it to us. We didn’t earn it or work for it. He just simply gave it to us because He wanted us to have it. How amazing is that?! Faith is the starting point. Belief and trust follow. Everything that we desire and hope for comes from the faith within us. We do not want these things on our own so there is no need to suppress them because when we do we squelch the very Spirit of God the lives within us. Just wanted to share❤️
