Ever heard someone suck their teeth during a conversation?
Behaviourally, it's often a subtle display of disrespect, frustration, challenge, or contempt. It's one of the few cues that can instantly shift a conversation from social to anti-social.
In Jamaica, there's even a phrase for it:
"KMT" — Kiss My Teeth.
That's how strongly this behaviour is associated with disagreement and irritation.
But remember...
A cue by itself means very little.
Context. Clusters. Change.
