I have been working on a collection of moth and butterfly studs for the upcoming market, so far I am stoked about how they are coming out! I still need to finish them up with a clear coat but I am excited for where this is going and excited to experiment with these a little more in the future! ✨-please excuse the baby banter-✨

Sneak peek at my new hats! They are fully reversible witch and sun hats. ☺️ What do you guys think of the color combos? I’m more sure of some than others.

So I started the watercolor 101 course and tried my hand on this lesson. I sketched out 3 arcs that overlapped in some way and wet each section before applying any color. I let that layer dry and the just tried different brushstrokes and designs in each space. I discovered that I really enjoy the softness and slight unpredictability of wet on wet. I'm excited about this journey with a medium I am just getting acquainted with.

I realized I forgot to post the last part of this lesson I did before! Other work parts have been busy. Once again no reference pictures. I’m going to attempt to re-do this lesson in ballpoint pen or liner pens since I’m more used to that than the mechanical pencil I was using. I wonder if anything is going to be different! I felt the upside down practice was much easier than the first two I think because I could look at the reference. I need to work more on my shading with pencils, but it’s a good starting point.

Lately I've been practicing with water and trying to get reflections and distortions down. Of course it's easier said than done and Im having a hard time getting it down. Does anyone have any tips on reflections? I'm also trying to get different tree textures down too. Plants are one thing but trees are another. 😅 Please feel free to critique my piece below and how i can improve. Thank you!
