My Birthday!!
Hello Friends! Yesterday was my birthday! 49 turns around the sun. It was a really good day. Quiet and reflective. One of the things I had time to think about is that 48 brought a lot of clarity and boldness, even with the overwhelming at times sadness of the last 6 months. Yesterday, I was just grateful for it all because the sadness gave me the push to do the uncomfortable things and make the necessary shifts. I feel like many of us sit in that same place. We feel the need to make the moves butwe don't know how or where to start or what to do. I don't believe you're in this group by accident. You're here for growth, clarity, and to learn. Community is always important. Not forsaking the assembly of the brethren is not just about missing church on Sunday or Midweek Bible Study. It's about being in a space to be sharpened. Iron sharpens iron. While most teachers, take the summer months to relax, I'll be here providing on-going value for you. I'm just as committed to your growth as I am to mine! Looking forward to building with you and growing together! Thank you for being along on the journey!

Welcome to the Apostolic Teacher Resource Hub!
This space is not designed for rushing, catching up, or consuming everything at once. The Hub exists to support clarity, alignment, and steady growth for those who sense a call to teach and want to move in order. You do not need to do everything here! You don't need to read everything here. And you definitely do not need to figure out your future today! Take your time and let God guide your pace. Here is how to use this space well: - Start where you are. If something resonates, sit with it. If something does not, leave it for later. - Some resources are for reflection. Others are for discernment. And some are here to name what many feel but have never had language for. - This is not a place for pressure or performance. It is a place for understanding. - If you are helping and sensing more, you are not behind. If you are discerning and waiting, you are not delayed. If you are teaching quietly, you are not unseen. - Use what serves you. Ignore what does not for now. Clarity comes with time and attention, not force. This Hub will grow as the year unfolds, and so will you. The time for the teacher to return is now! And we'll do so in order.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend & Announcements!!
With the long weekend coming up, I hope you have plenty of time to rest, relax, and recharge! For me, I'll be putting together life in the College of Apostolic Teachers for the Month of June. We're closing out May with a bang. Recently, I had the pleasure of being a guest on the Sales for Christian Coaches Podcast with Justin Janowski of Faith 2 Influence. I've posted the link below for you to check out. In the video, this was the "debut" of my new grounding framework for everything. The TEACH system. It's an acronym for: T - Transformation E - Equip A - Application C - Cultivate H - Honor You'll begin to see more in the coming weeks but here's a hint. We'll be starting with Honor first! I would normally go in order but given the way education has been going lately, we need to start there. Have an amazing weekend!

How Do You Learn??
In formal teacher education programs there is a whole course devoted to Human Learning. I've always found it fascinating. One of the things I've realized is that many of our teachers in churches have had not had that experience. In this group, that changes! God created each of to be like Him but in the way He sees us. The body jointly fit has different parts and don't all function the same. That is also true of Learning and teaching. In general, teachers tend to teach one of two ways: 1. The way were taught. 2. The way they learn. While nothing is wrong with either approach, at times they may not be the most beneficial to the students in your classroom, course, or program. I've created a short quiz to answer the question "How Do You Learn??" As it gives your results, it also gives insights to what to look for as a teacher! Try it for yourself and in true teacher form, I have some reflection questions for you! Feel free to share your results and thoughts. Reflection Prompt 1 Based on your results, describe how you prefer to receive and process new information. Do you see this same preference showing up in how you teach or lead others? Give at least one specific example. Reflection Prompt 2 Every learning theory has a strength and a limitation. Looking at your dominant style, where do you think it serves your students well — and where might it be leaving someone behind without you realizing it? Reflection Prompt 3 Knowing what you now know about how you learn, identify one thing you want to be more intentional about in your teaching going forward. It does not have to be a big shift — even a small awareness. https://learningtheory.takhia.online/
