Find Your Novel’s Next Step is happening in 41 hours
Welcome! Tell me what you’re working on.
I’m glad you’re here. One of my favorite parts of being an author is talking with other writers about their stories, their goals, and the things they’re trying to figure out. I’ve learned plenty through those conversations, too. That’s what I’d like to build here at The Write Angle. I’ll share videos, courses, and occasional live workshops on writing, publishing, marketing, and connecting with readers. Your questions will help me decide what to tackle next. Let’s start by getting acquainted. What do you write, and where are you in your author journey? Are you working on your first manuscript, preparing to publish, or juggling several books? And what’s one thing you’d like help with right now? You don’t need a polished introduction. Just say hello and tell us a little about yourself. I’m looking forward to meeting you! Blessings, Elle
Novel November: Your Project & Workshop Guide
Today’s November 7 sprint is cancelled. We’re reshaping Novel November around live instruction and a clear next step for your own manuscript. The daily sprint schedule is ending. NOVEL NOVEMBER: MOVE YOUR NOVEL FORWARD Bring your idea, outline, or draft. Choose a finish line for November 30 that fits where you are now. CHOOSE YOUR PATH • Planning: turn an idea or scattered notes into a working outline. Start with Plot Your Novel with CASCADE. • Drafting: choose the scenes or chapter section you’ll complete. Use Write Scenes That Keep Readers Reading as you work. • Revising: make a revision plan and improve a chapter. Start with one scene you know needs attention. THREE LIVE WORKSHOPS Mondays, 3–4 p.m. Eastern. Use the Calendar for your local time and join link. November 9 — Find Your Novel’s Next Step. Bring your current blocker. Leave with your November goal and the next three actions. November 16 — Build a Scene Step by Step. Watch a scene take shape, then map and draft one for your own book. November 23 — Revise Without Losing Voice. Work through a before-and-after example, then revise your scene and explain what you changed. I’ll demonstrate practical AI options and how to evaluate the results. You can apply the writing exercises with or without AI. These November workshops are open to members of both Write Angle groups. YOUR PROJECT CARD Post a comment below with: 1. My book and genre: 2. My current stage: 3. The problem I’m working through: 4. My finish line for November 30: 5. My next three actions: BETWEEN WORKSHOPS Reply to your project card with what you tried, what changed, and one focused question. Each week, complete the action above and share a short excerpt or outline section if you’d like discussion. This thread is our home for progress and follow-up. NOVEMBER 30 Return to your project card and share what you completed, what you learned, and your next step. This is a written check-in, with no live call. If you would use an occasional writing sprint, tell me which single recurring time works for you. For now, the calendar contains the three instructional workshops.

Start Here: Introduce Yourself & Find Your First Course
Welcome to The Write Angle. Introduce yourself in General discussion: what you write, your current project, and one thing you’d like help with. Reply to another writer and choose your first task. YOUR AUTHOR ROADMAP Choose the phase that matches your current project. You can move between phases as your needs change. 1. PLAN YOUR BOOK For a novel idea or scattered notes: start with Plot Your Novel with CASCADE. First milestone: a working outline and the next three scenes you can write. Nonfiction authors: define your reader, your book’s promise, and a chapter outline. 2. WRITE AND REVISE Start with Write Scenes That Keep Readers Reading for fiction craft. First milestone: draft or revise one scene and explain the change you made. Bring a focused question to the community. 3. PREPARE TO PUBLISH Use the Writing & Publishing Video Library for the publishing question in front of you. First milestone: a checklist of what your book still needs—editing, formatting, cover, and publishing details—and one completed task. 4. REACH READERS Start with The Craft of Writing Newsletters, including the live newsletter class. First milestone: plan your next newsletter with a subject line, useful content, and an invitation to reply. AI FOR YOUR AUTHOR BUSINESS Explore AI within the task you’re doing: brainstorming options, diagnosing a scene, planning reader communication, or supporting business tasks. Bring the problem and your result, and keep your own judgment at the center. YOUR FIRST WEEK Introduce yourself, choose one phase, complete one relevant lesson or activity, and share your result or question. You do not need to finish every course before making progress. NOVEL NOVEMBER Daily sprints have ended. Our three live workshops meet November 9, 16, and 23, 3–4 p.m. Eastern. Both groups can join. Set your goal and follow the weekly assignments in the project guide: https://www.skool.com/the-write-angle-1967/novel-november-your-project-workshop-guide
An Invitation to The Write Angle with Elle
I’m trying a new paid version of The Write Angle, and I’d love to invite you to take a look. The reason for the change is to stop the bots, scammers, and spammers from joining the community. Policing them is taking up time I should be spending working with legitimate students. 'The Write Angle with Elle' is a place for fiction and nonfiction authors to learn, put what they learn into practice, and make steady progress alongside other writers. There are three monthly membership options: • Standard — $9/month: our writing and newsletter courses, video library, writing prompts, community discussion, and practical writing resources. • Premium — $19/month: everything in Standard, plus monthly live training and the replay. • VIP — $49/month: everything in Premium, plus the GlyphStack author-software suite, with app access activated by me manually. Paid enrollment is closed while I put together a founding group of ten authors. Join the waitlist and I’ll email you when founding enrollment opens. You can preview the paid group and its plans on Skool. https://www.skool.com/the-write-angle/about Joining is optional. This group will remain free and open during the test, and no one will be moved or charged automatically. November update: daily writing sprints have been replaced by three live workshops on November 9, 16, and 23, 3–4 p.m. Eastern. Both groups can join. Find the plan and your project card here: https://www.skool.com/the-write-angle-1967/novel-november-your-project-workshop-guide If the paid community works well, I may close this free group. If I decide to do that, I’ll give you advance notice so you can decide whether you’d like to come over. There’s no closing date set now. Whether you join me there or continue here during the test, I appreciate you being part of The Write Angle. Blessings,
