Visionaries... there are 2 target conversion rates I aim for with Skool communities.
You're probably wondering... is my "about page" conversion rate good? Or is it terrible?
What is the right percentage to aim for?
Here's what I normally suggest as targets:
- 👉 Freemium/ Free community = Aim for 30%+
- 👉 Paid community (Monthly or Tiers) = Aim for 3% or higher
Now in the scenario of Freemium/ Free community that rule of a 30% conversion rate is pretty solid and accurate under all circumstances.
After all... people get to join for free so at least 1/3 people should be joining.
For paid communities the 3% or higher rule does fluctuate based on if you have a lower or higher pricing model.
If your community is expensive comparatively (above $27/month at the Standard level) then you might expect a 2% conversion rate.
To check your conversion stats:
✅ 1). Click on Settings on the right hand side bar
✅ 2). Look at your conversion rate on the "dashboard" tab which is the first tab that opens up
Right now we run a paid community (10 Minute Skool Growth Challenge) with a free 7-day trial and waver between 2.8% & 3.3% each month. On average we convert at 3.1%. But I'm running some new tests to see if we can bump up to 3.5%.
What is your community converting at?
