Work ethic > genetics
Track is one of those sports where we constantly hear about genetics and how they play a huge role in performance. And while yes, that is in fact true, there’s no point in focusing on this since you can’t change it. Look at Tom Brady. Sub par genetics but world class work ethic. And we’ve all seen his successes. Feel free to drop your thoughts below. Have a great weekend everyone.

Start of season testing
Coaches, what are your go to “tests” at the beginning of the season. 45 second, 23 second, 30 fly, 10 fly etc. What do you find to be more reliable.
Muscular Asymmetry
Hello! I’m an adaptive athlete and compete in track (100m-400m). My question is in regard to asymmetry in strength. There is a huge difference between the strength of my prosthetic side quad/hamstring and my ‘intact’ side. I want to make my weak side more equal to my ‘intact’ side in strength but I don’t want to neglect or have my ‘intact’ side lose the strength it currently has. What do yall think the best approach would be? Sorry if this is too confusing.
