Before words, there’s a whole set of pre-language skills your child needs.
Things like:
- back and forth interaction
- shared attention
- imitation
- gestures
- turn-taking
These skills must be in place in order to make words possible later on.
And if they’re missing or inconsistent, language can feel really hard.
🎥 What’s Being Released
On Monday, the full Prelinguistic Skills section will be available inside the classroom.
It includes:
✔ A 40-page handout breaking down each skill in a simple, clear way
✔ Step-by-step activity pages (both no-material and play-based)
✔ Videos showing exactly how to teach these skills in real interactions
✔ Guidance on what to do next once your child starts building these foundations
💡 Who This Is For
This is especially helpful if your child:
- isn’t talking yet
- has a small vocabulary
- isn’t imitating or pointing
- struggles with back-and-forth interaction
Or if you’re not sure where to start
🧠 Why This Matters
A lot of people jump straight to teaching words.
But communication doesn’t start with words.
It starts with connection, interaction, and shared understanding.
That’s what this section is built to support.
