This year I was asked to do the best man for a wedding and you know what that means… the best man speech.
You might think this would be easy for me, I’ve made loads of YouTube videos and presented for some of the biggest UK brands but here’s the thing, I still get nervous as s***.
But I do it anyway.
And this is honestly what I think separates the 90% with the 10%.
We are all human. I get sad. I get happy. I get nervous. I get excited. I feel all sorts of emotions, it’s normal!
But actually taking the action and doing the thing despite how you feel is what truly makes you GREAT!
So I knew that when my best mate asked me to do a speech I would be absolutely terrified but I said yes because if I want to reach my goals and speak in front of a bigger crowd, I’ve gotta start by taking a small step.
Thanks for listening to my TED talk. Please share a story of when you were absolutely terrified of doing something but did it anyway under this post! I would love to hear your stories and inspire others.
