✨ Why we exist
Raised By A Village was born from one honest, life‑changing question:
Am I teaching my child to think for themselves — or only to obey?
For generations, most of us were raised the second way: follow the rules, do as you’re told, don’t ask too many questions, stick to the safe path, and never rock the boat. We were taught compliance is the same thing as goodness. And as a result, many of us grew up to be adults who still wait for permission, who fear being different, who struggle to make big decisions, and who quietly wonder: Is this really all there is?
We realised something important:
Obedience keeps a small child safe. But only independent thinking will carry them through a whole life.
We also realised something else heavy: Modern life has stolen our village.
We’ve been sold a lie that parenting and building a good life is a solo job — that you have to know everything, do everything, be perfect, and struggle in silence. That if you ask for help, you’re failing. That you should only ever listen to the voices inside your own four walls.
That is not how humans were designed to live.
For thousands of years, children were guided, loved, corrected and taught by many good adults. Parents were supported, not burnt out. Values were shared, not forced. And wisdom was passed around, not hoarded.
Raised By A Village is here to bring that back — but better.
We are rebuilding the village for this generation: intentional, thoughtful, inclusive, and unashamed of wanting more than “normal”. We are the alternative to isolation, to judgment, to blindly following a life script someone else wrote, and to raising children who can follow rules but cannot lead themselves.
