🌱 Consistency: The Foundation of a Strong Community
Consistency is vital in a community like Raised By A Village because a strong community is not built through one great post, conversation, or activity. It is built through repeated experiences of connection, contribution, and trust. Think of it like raising a child: you don't create security by showing up once with great advice. You create security through reliable presence—being there again and again. 🌱 You can have the greatest community leader in the world, but if it's other members aren't engaging, then it just becomes a content library. That's not what I opened this community to be. So please share, post and engage and tell me what you'd like to see in this community.

Tough Love - Sometimes It's Required
I’ve asked for some basic help around the house—things like putting dishes away and cleaning up after herself—but my requests haven’t been listened to. So, from now on, I’m stepping back and allowing her to take responsibility for her own needs. If she wants to go to the shops, she’ll need to make her own way there. If she needs to collect her medication, she’ll need to arrange that herself as well. I’m not hee mother, and I’m not her chauffeur. Helping someone is one thing; being taken for granted is another. This isn’t about being cruel. It’s about setting a boundary and making it clear that responsibility works both ways. Sometimes a little tough love is necessary when kindness and repeated requests are being taken advantage of.
