✉️ Trigger Talks & Tea Time
https://www.ted.com/talks/brene_brown_the_power_of_vulnerability?utm_campaign=tedspread&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=tedcomshare Pour your tea, sis ☕✨ — today we hold sacred space for raw honesty and reflection. Healing is never a straight line. Some days you feel like you’re conquering the world. Other days, you’re just trying to make it out of bed without breaking. Both days are real. Both days matter. The Soft But Savage truth? We don’t glamorize pain — but we don’t hide it either. We acknowledge it, we process it, and we turn it into power. 🌸 Today’s Deep Reflection Let’s go beneath the surface: - What’s one battle you’ve faced that shaped you — but didn’t break you? - What lesson or truth did that battle force you to carry into the present? - How does that lesson show up in the way you live, love, or protect yourself now? 🧠 A Tool for Overwhelm: The S.T.O.P Method If today feels like too much, try this simple grounding practice: S — Stop. Pause what you’re doing. Put the phone down, close your eyes.T — Take a breath. Slow. Inhale calm. Exhale tension.O — Observe. What’s happening in your body? What emotions are rising? What thoughts keep looping?P — Proceed. Move forward, but with awareness and intention — not from panic or autopilot. ✨ Use this in the moment when triggers hit. It’s not weakness to pause; it’s strength to choose your response. 🎥 Supporting TED Talk: 👉 The Power of Vulnerability | Brené Brown This 20-minute talk breaks down why being open about our struggles doesn’t make us weak — it actually creates strength, connection, and resilience. Pair this with your journaling or meditation today. 💎 Your Turn to Share Sis, I invite you to go deep: - Share one moment you thought would break you — but didn’t. - What new strength did you walk away with? - And if you’re still in that battle — what reminder do you need today to keep going?

☕ Trigger Talks & Tea Time – Women’s Health Awareness
Queens 👑✨, today’s Trigger Talk is dedicated to one of our sisters, Nicole, who recently went through surgery to remove an ovary covered in endometriosis. On top of that, she has been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). This isn’t just her story — this is something so many women silently face every single day. 💡 Why We’re Talking About This Endometriosis and PCOS are conditions that impact not only the body, but also the spirit, the emotions, and the day-to-day experience of being a woman. They can bring chronic pain, fertility challenges, emotional stress, and often isolation — because too often, women are told to “just deal with it.” Here, in the Lounge, we don’t just deal — we support, we honor, and we uplift. 🎥 Supporting Resource For those who want to learn more or reflect deeper:👉 Understanding Endometriosis & PCOS – Women’s Health Talk https://youtu.be/QMH4rPEJ5BI?si=S_EnemZxPOBRW8TN. 📝 Reflection Prompts for Today Sis, let’s use Nicole’s strength as an anchor for our own conversations: 1. Have you (or someone you know) faced challenges with endometriosis, PCOS, or another women’s health condition? 2. How do you cope with the emotional weight that health struggles bring? 3. What’s one thing you wish more people understood about women’s health issues? 4. If Nicole were sitting in front of you today, what words of encouragement would you give her? ✨ Takeaway Nicole’s story reminds us: our bodies are not broken — they are battlefields and temples at the same time.We are more than our diagnoses. We are more than the pain. And together, we create spaces where healing, understanding, and sisterhood make the load lighter. 👑 Queens, let’s show Nicole love, support, and encouragement today. Drop your reflections, your words of strength, or simply a heart 💜 in the comments to let her know she’s not walking this path alone.

Endometriosis
On Tuesday I had surgery to remove endometriosis, and they had to take one of my ovaries. 💔 It’s hard to put into words how that feels — I’m sore, I’m grieving, and honestly just trying to process it all. Endometriosis and PCOS are cruel. They take so much from you that people don’t always see, and now I’m left with another scar and another piece of me gone. But in the middle of all this pain, I’m so thankful for my daughter. She’s my anchor, my reason to keep pushing forward, and the reminder of what this disease could never take from me. Right now, it’s one day at a time. One breath at a time 🌺
Trigger Talks & Tea Time — Understanding Triggers & Trauma in the Brain
Sis, have you ever recoiled unexpectedly—whether at a sound, sight, or reminder—and wondered why your body reacted so intensely? Neuroscience shows that trauma triggers aren’t just emotional—they’re wired into our brains. Areas like the amygdala, prefrontal cortex, hippocampus, and anterior cingulate cortex are all involved in how trauma rewires our fight-flight responses and alters memory, decision-making, and emotional regulation. These changes can lead to patterns of hypervigilance, distorted recall, or impulsivity. To dive deeper into where and how these triggers form inside your brain, check out this TED Talk: “The psychology of post-traumatic stress disorder” by Joelle Rabow Maletis https://www.ted.com/talks/joelle_rabow_maletis_the_psychology_of_post_traumatic_stress_disorder?language=en --- Reflect & Respond: 1. What insight from the video hit you loudest? 2. Recognizing how your brain processes trauma—how does that shift your relationship with your triggers? 3. Share one small action you can take today when a trigger hits (even if it's just taking a breath or naming the reaction). Let’s turn knowledge into healing, together. Drop your reflections below, Queen. 💖

☕ Trigger Talks & Tea Time — Healing the Mother Wound to Reclaim Your Power ✨
Sis, this week we’re going deep — talking about the mother wound and how healing it is key to fully stepping into your power. Let’s face it: when we've inherited trauma or unmet needs, it shapes how we show up in life—until we choose to heal. Watch this TED Talk: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5yU5GSRrqX0 It breaks down how our mothers’ unresolved wounds can get passed down—and what it looks like to break that cycle. After watching, reflect and share: 1. What part of the video resonated with you most? 2. What truth from your ancestry or healing journey are you finally ready to free yourself from? Trust the tea is deep and necessary. Healing this, sis? That’s where the real glow-up begins. 🌸
