About a year ago, I started walking in my neighborhood consistently. In that time, I've continued to be drawn to the trees and the little stream that runs through the neighborhood. A few doors down from me, there are 3 juniper trees that I greet and talk to every time I pass. Juniper berries take about 2 years to grow and ripen, so I've been talking about these berries for an entire year. Last week, the berries were finally ripe and today I gathered some while talking to the tree and trying to not look like a crazy woman to people driving by. So, I think I've officially leveled up in my budding green witch/rootworker journey. Whatever level it is where you stand in your neighbors yard to gather supplies 😂. The berries are cleaned and are air drying for use in a few weeks.
