We look inside ourselves and see
In answer to the question: "Are there any notable insights into fasting during these holy days depending on where females are in the menstrual cycle? I have been fasting several times a year for 3-4 days at a time for several years now and have almost always felt great. Others say fasting is not always great for women’s hormones and recently I’ve wondered if I should take heed of these cautions or only fast during certain times according to menstruation timing. And what about menopause?"
The answer simple and is found in the question. You’ve done something “for years and it almost always felt great.”
I don’t know what type of fasts you’ve done before, don’t know what the fast included or excluded. This journey we’re embarking on here is not about suffering. It’s about ending suffering. I have never advocated any type of fasting that causes the body to suffer in any way.
It’s fascinating that to this day, every single person I have personally told about this process, chooses to attempt their first cycle by only drinking water. Their initial plan is to not eat and just do a water fast. Yet I always encourage them to eat some food.
This journey is about feeling good. It’s not a physical marathon to see how much we can endure. Life has been that way long enough. This is a time for healing. Healing is to become whole. This is a time to cleanse ourselves and become healthy in body, mind, spirit, soul, energy, frequency, vibration…
There are countless other fasts that are done in their way, at various levels of difficulty and extremity.
When we talk about fasting for this particular process of following the Lunar cycle, the type of fasting that I do and advocate, we can begin by thinking of it as fasting from chemicals, toxic metals, poisons, harmful frequencies, and anything artificial. Let’s start with that and approach it in this way…
No matter the current status of our health, the age/phase of the body, I think we can all agree it would be healthier for our bodies to be cleansed regularly of toxic chemicals, metals, poisons, harmful frequencies, and anything artificial.
For now let’s forget about what’s the exact perfect list of things to consume.
First, on a side note about during the menstrual cycle: For years, in my home, during the menstrual cycle my wife tends to drink tea and eat soup. She tends to find warm/hot liquid more soothing/comforting. So we’ve always tried to make sure she has healthy tea, healthy soup, broth, or some type of warm liquidy comforting meal.
Also it tends to be better to conserve her energy rather than over-expending it. It’s probably not the best time to run a marathon or climb a mountain. It’s probably better to rest, recuperate, and consume healthy soothing things while the body goes through the natural process. Probably not the best time to overeat or overdo anything. It’s time to take better care of ourselves.
So it’s the exact same principle. Both of these monthly processes are in perfect alignment. They can go together in complete harmony.
If any of us are having any stomach/digestion issues/concerns at any time, cramping, discomfort, or we’re simply having to consider the digestion process in our body, then we should probably pause before we throw piles of heavy food into our stomach that takes a long time to digest. It’s not the best time to just consume whatever we usually consume any other day. It’s best to give it more consideration. It would feel better to drink/eat healthier natural things that digest smoother/easier.
So it’s the same principles when we approach fasting for any days during the Lunar cycle when we’re going to receive energy/frequency of the Moon & Sun that is different than usual. Whether that energy/frequency is more powerful or intense, more beneficial/healing, or simply a drastic shift from how it was before…
Let’s imagine we’re going to have a major procedure done to our body. And our body is going to be x-rayed before the procedure. So we need the body to be as empty as possible so that it’s easier to see what’s going on inside, without everything being blocked by piles of undigested food in the way. So a couple days before we get blasted by a powerful light/frequency, we probably shouldn’t eat big heavy meals that take days to digest. A wise idea would be to taper off from the big heavy food and ease into consuming lighter things that will leave the body faster/smoother.
And we would want to avoid putting harmful chemicals, toxic metals, anything artificial in our body right before we get zapped by a powerful light/frequency. We would want the body to be as clear and natural as possible.
During every Lunar cycle, we’re getting blasted by powerful Light/Frequency, specifically during the New Moon, the Full Moon, and when the Moon is in the area of the sky the Sun was in when we were born. And of course all throughout the month we’re being affected by the energy/frequency of all the various luminaries. But for now we’re focused on the New Moon, Full Moon, and especially the Moon in our Sun sign.
So right before the regenerative procedure we’re about to enter, it makes sense for us to taper off from any big heavy food, make sure we have as much of it out of our bodies as we can, clear out everything toxic/poison/artificial and transition into eating healthier lighter meals that digest faster/easier and start being more conscious and aware of what we consume, and we do our best to remove any harmful frequencies around us, for when we get blasted by a powerful Light/Frequency that is going to help us see inside of ourselves.
Let’s forget about the word fasting. It’s simply time to cleanse/clear the body, and focus in on consuming things that make us feel good and healthy, natural and pure.
How about looking at it like: It’s time to eat soup for our main meal. Rather than stressing over exactly what to consume or not consume, we simply focus on making the best tasting healthiest soup we can make.
And yes, we make our meal. We decide every ingredient that is allowed to be put into our Sacred body. We consciously choose each ingredient. We wash and clean all of our ingredients. We bless and give gratitude to every ingredient that is about to enter our Sacred Temple and become a part of us. We intuitively cook our meal one step at a time with purpose. We start moving into our senses of smell, taste, touch, sight… We consciously consume each bite or sip, without overindulging. We stay aware of how full we’re getting, so now we’re using body awareness.
And just as we don’t want our heart racing too fast or too slow, we want to keep everything balanced in a harmonic resonance. Same thing with what we consume: maybe nothing too spicy, or too extreme one way or another. Maybe for these meals on these days, not too many spices. Can we trust there are no toxic metals in this bottle of spices? Take a moment to consider it, when on other days maybe we don’t. But on these particular days, we are WAY more conscious and aware of every single thing that is going to be put inside of our Sacred body. With every single thing we consume on these days, we can take one slight pause and ask: Why am I putting this in my body? What is the reason I am putting this in my body today? What is my purpose for putting this in my body right now? Is this necessary?
Now these are wise questions to always ask before we consume anything on any day. But on our Holy days we should absolutely make sure to do this.
Because what is our intention for these days? What are we told and hope will happen during this particular phase of the Lunar cycle? If we’re hoping to expand Consciousness inside of us, if we want to shift into Higher states of Consciousness, if we’re wishing for heightened senses, heightened Awareness, heightened intuition,…
Then we can immediately start taking charge and becoming more Conscious about what we’re consuming, more Aware of what we’re putting in our body, more Aware of how our body is feeling inside, we can go into our senses and start using them with more purpose, and we can create/cook our meal Intuitively.
Look how we’re already off and running, connecting and creating the desired results just by making a meal. People always wonder: What should I do on these days? Well how about we prepare and cook our meal?
What is a common thing for people to do most holidays? We prepare everything, we make sure we have all our supplies, and we cook special meals. Many holidays involve making the food all day.
These are our True Holy days. Our Sacred bodies deserve the purest cleanest food and drink we can find. So whether it’s Alkaline water, distilled, ionized, whatever we can do to make it cleaner, more pure, in a more harmonic frequency, we do what we can. That water is about to become a part of us. We want to be cleansed, we want to be pure, we want to be in a harmonic frequency,… so we can start there.
There are no set rules we’re forced to follow with this. There is no strict mandate. It’s a time to pause the previous automatic routines, and start becoming more Conscious and Aware, time to start using our senses more, time to cleanse ourselves completely and restore our health and begin again, fresh and brand new.
That’s the way this works.
This is what I mean by us getting out of it what we put into it. It doesn’t mean work harder and suffer more to get more of it. There is no need to force ourselves to suffer through starvation, waiting for something to “happen to us”.
Instead, we become active in it. We check in on the state of our body and evaluate, and make conscious decisions about what we put in it. We don’t do anything that makes our body feel bad. We rest, recuperate, and conserve our energy. We eliminate anything that might block the benefits.
How do we witness the Light? How do we witness and observe all the infinite wondrous things that we never realized are always right here with us?
We look inside ourselves and see.
