Can I be real with you for a second?
I'm burnt out.
Not in a dramatic, everything-is-falling-apart kind of way. More like... the slow, creeping kind. The kind where you're still showing up, still doing the things, still functioning... but something underneath feels depleted.
Here's what's actually going on in my world right now:
I made the decision recently not to run my 6-week group program this round. It wasn't an easy call... I'd been building toward it, and part of me felt like I was letting people down. But I had to be honest with myself: I didn't have the energy to show up for a group of women the way they deserve. And I'd rather pause than half-show up.
On top of that, my kids are exhausted. Like really exhausted. And anyone who's ever had a tired, struggling kid knows, that emotional weight doesn't just sit with them. It sits with you. In your chest. At 2am. While you're trying to fall back asleep.
And honestly? I think my hormones have a lot to do with all of it feeling so heavy.
Because here's what nobody tells you: when your hormones are fluctuating, your stress response is already working overtime. Your cortisol is higher. Your resilience bucket has a slow leak. Things that used to roll off your back now stick. Things that used to energize you now cost something.
I know cognitively that that's not weakness. That's biology.
I'm sharing this because I have a feeling I'm not alone. So I want to ask you: how are YOU doing, really?
