What’s a teaching idea you borrowed and made your own?
Lately I’ve been thinking about how much of what works in our classrooms comes from remixing ideas we really believe in. We read something, see a strategy in action somewhere else, and then we adapt it so it fits our kids and our context. I wrote a bit about this on my Substack — looking at tools, curriculum choices, and what actually sticks in rehearsal vs. what just sounded good on paper:👉 https://brandtschneider.substack.com/ What’s one teaching idea you borrowed from someone else — a blog post, a workshop, a colleague — and then made your own? What did you change and why? Lately I have been stealing from Scott Watson as we create our general music class. Curious to hear yours.
