Welcome
Hi folks, thanks for stopping by to check out our Music Clock Guitar Club community. We are focussed on helping each other understand how music works and how we can apply it to improving how we play the guitar. Hopefully these guidelines resonate with you and together we can help create a positive and supportive community. 1. Respect the Tradition (and Each Other) We all start somewhere. Keep comments encouraging and constructive. 2. Practice, Patience and Perseverance bring Progress This isn't a competition. We celebrate progress, not perfection. Sharing a video of yourself making a mistake is often more helpful to the community than a 'flawless' performance. 3. Keep it On-Topic This space is dedicated to sharing our knowledge and understanding . While we love all music, please keep posts focused on small, simple concepts and techniques. 4. No Self-Promotion/Spam Please don't post links to external products, paid services, or unrelated YouTube channels without checking with the moderators first. Let’s keep the focus on learning together. 5. Use the 'Wins' Thread Got a new guitar? Finally played through new song without stopping? Post it! We would love to celebrate your 'small wins'—they inspire everyone else to keep practicing.

Guitar hang 26th April
Hi folks, I hope to record the live chat and edit some of it for upload. I'll be looking at theory in the Key of G major / Eminor. I'm also going through a crappy electric guitar phase....trying to get unique sounds. I bought an old Teisco on spec and discovered my new favourite pickups ! Also, I'll show you a quick and cheap way to get a Rubber Bridge guitar sound. ! Hope to see you Sunday if you can make it!

Alternative voicing for G7
Following on from the guitar hang on Sunday, with Stephen and Tim, there was a question about voicing G7. Stephen didn't like 320001. I agree with him and suggested 323030. Prompted my comment to try to replace the note you don't like in the chord with the same note elsewhere. G7 contains the note F, so rather than playing the F note on the first string, (fret 1), replace it with the F note on the 4th string, ( fret 3)...and I must admit I like the D note on fret 3 of the second string. To my ear it gives a fuller sound. What do you think ?
