Hi!
I feel like Mary’s 7 Powers as we reviewed them together today are not aligning with Meggan Watterson’s teaching of them, and I want to get confirmation — or find out if I am missing something!
Meggan also has Darkness as the “1st Power” with “Darkness makes vision possible,” but the way I read her core teaching on that one, it is really about non-separation — which feels like crown energy to me. In today’s session, though, this power was framed around safety and belonging, which I associate with root, and which actually aligns more closely with what I understand as Meggan’s 7th Power of Rage (Anger is information / I was never separate).
The Second Power is Craving/Clinging in both systems, but Meggan’s teaching with “I trust what my soul desires”, reads as very third-eye to me rather than sacral. The Perpetua story is the clearest example for me: she held to her soul’s vision no matter what the external world was telling her, which feels like third-eye clarity, not sacral desire.
The Third Power is Ignorance in both systems, but Meggan’s teaching of “Humility is my greatest strength” lands as very throat chakra for me, it is about how we speak and hold what we know.
I could go on, but the pattern I keep noticing is maybe the Magdalene Method reversed the order of the Powers to align with the ascending chakra sequence, root to crown. Is that the intention? It doesn't seem like that is exactly it though!
I am worried I am attaching to the first way I learned the powers and ultimately I just want to make sure I am integrating this correctly and not overlaying one framework onto another in a way that creates confusion for me going forward.
Also I am very new to all this so I could have even had all the stories and chapters mixed up while reading all these books lol😂
Thank you so much for any clarification help!
