๐Ÿ‘‹ Let me introduce myself...
I'm so, so happy to have you all join our community - your health (and future self) are also thankful! My name is Andre, and my journey towards a healthier life began a few years ago. I have always been an active person, and never really had a health issue. I would get away with a lot, especially food. I ate whatever I wanted, in amounts that were clearly exaggerated. When I started living by myself on my 20s, self-control wasn't really a word I'd use on a regular basis. Who has never overindulged? But... no weight concerns, and apparently no physiological imbalances either. Then one day, being a vegetarian, I decided to take a blood test - just to make sure I was getting all of my nutrients. Doctor calls me back: everything was ok, other than the simple fact that I had pre-diabetes. ๐Ÿซฃ Yep, that shocked me to my bones. What should I do now? I did a couple of them straight away: 1. Changed my diet - cut all added sugars and decreased by a lot the amount of carbs I was eating. 2. Started studying about nutrition and other health areas. I was at one tip of the scale, and suddenly, on the very other end. Yes, I do have the tendency to be a bit extreme - and just like that I am finding my way. All of that led me to learning a lot about my health, lot's of Do's and Don'ts, and the biggest change of all: I feel like I found myself. I found an area that I am really passionate about! I reverted my pre-diabetes situation, thankfully, and became much more conscious and knowledgeable about my health, the way I exercise, eat, and sleep (with all the ups and downs that come with it - after all, no one is perfect and I am just another guy looking for a balanced life) ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ Now I am a longevity mentor in the making, hoping to share what I've learned with like-minded people - so hopefully you can make better informed decisions for your life BEFORE finding yourself in a situation like I did. Who doesn't want to live a healthier, more balanced and fulfilled life? Well... I do, and if you do to, you've come to the right place!

๐Ÿ“š Stay curious, keep growing
If thereโ€™s one secret to longevity that goes beyond nutrition, exercise, sleep, or mindset - itโ€™s the hunger to keep learning. Knowledge doesnโ€™t just expand the mind; it shapes the very choices we make every day: what we eat, how we move, how we rest, and how we handle stress! The more we understand, the better we can take ownership of our health! Thatโ€™s why I created a blog section on my website, where I regularly share articles about longevity, habits, and science-based insights to help you live better. ๐Ÿ”— You can keep up with the latest articles here. Letโ€™s keep the curiosity alive, and discuss the most interesting topics in this group!
What's on the MENU today?
Nutrition is one of the most powerful tools for longevity - but also one of the easiest to lose track of. Every day, every meal, weโ€™re making decisions that either move us closer to our goals or further away. And those choices, repeated over time, shape who we become. ๐Ÿ‘‰ Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re adding a bit of accountability to the mix. ๐Ÿฒ Had a nutrient-packed breakfast? Tried a new recipe? Managed to skip that ultra-processed snack thatโ€™s been calling your name? โ™ป๏ธ Share it here! Inspire others, and letโ€™s build a space where healthy eating becomes second nature. Weโ€™ll celebrate good choices, exchange tips, and remind each other that nutrition doesnโ€™t have to be perfect. It just has to be intentional. So, whatโ€™s on the MENU today?
