Begin Here: Your Chromatic Garden Personality™
Before planning your garden, begin with yourself. Complete the short assessment below. For each statement, answer: Yes = 2 Sometimes = 1 No = 0 Add up each colour. Your highest score is your dominant garden influence right now. If you find you have more than one dominant colour, revisit the questions in that section. Sometimes when we first experience The Chromatic Life Scale we answer quickly without thinking deeply and truly feeling the answer. Answer again and find which colour you resonate with the most. 🔴 RED – Engineers 1. I feel calmer when my garden has clear structure and defined areas. 2. I prefer proven methods over experimenting. 3. Messy or chaotic beds make me uneasy. 4. I enjoy maintaining systems over redesigning them. 🟠 ORANGE – Creators 1. I’m strongly affected by colour, scent and texture in the garden. 2. I enjoy mixing flowers and edibles freely. 3. Routine tasks can feel dull to me. 4. Beauty matters more to me than yield numbers. 🟡 YELLOW – Adventurers 1. I enjoy setting garden goals and tracking progress. 2. Visible productivity energises me. 3. I get impatient with slow growth. 4. I prefer action over long planning stages. 🟢 GREEN – Empaths 1. I want my garden to feel nurturing and shared. 2. I enjoy growing food to give to others. 3. I’m sensitive to how a space feels emotionally. 4. I sometimes over-care for parts of the garden. 🔵 BLUE – Communicators 1. I like explaining what I’m growing and why. 2. I’m drawn to gardens that tell a story. 3. I enjoy writing plans or labelling beds. 4. I feel unsettled when my vision isn’t understood. 🟣 PURPLE – Masterminds 1. I enjoy researching plants and systems deeply. 2. I notice patterns in how plants grow. 3. I like experimenting and testing ideas. 4. I can overthink planting decisions. ⚪ WHITE – Free-Spirits 1. I prefer simplicity over busy planting. 2. I feel most at peace in quiet garden spaces. 3. Large projects overwhelm me. 4. I’m drawn to calm, minimal palettes.

🌈 Share Your Chromatic Garden Colour
Now that you’ve completed your Chromatic Garden Personality™ assessment, I’d love you to introduce yourself. Please comment below with: 1️⃣ Your dominant colour 2️⃣ One sentence about what resonated most 3️⃣ What you’d most like your garden to give you this year For example: “I’m Green. I realised I over-care for every bed and get overwhelmed. This year I want my garden to feel calm and shared, not exhausting.” There are no better or worse colours. Each one simply shows how your garden can best support you. Let’s begin by understanding who we are — so we can grow intentionally.
Yes, it’s still winter 🌨️
Anyone else have snow today? (15th Feb) I have to say it was a magical change to rain for me and went and stood outside! I love the silence that snow brings and it was a little reminder that it’s still actually winter ❄️
