Taming your ADHD with The Inner Compass Method
I've always struggled with ADHD and getting into thinking loops, and Nicks program helped me to realise that I don't have to be ashamed of how my brain works. This is not an "ADHD is awesome and everybody needs to accept it when I'm going off script". Rather, I need to accept and understand how my brain works. By understanding I can use my ADHD advantageously when I need to, and monitor it socially so it doesn't overwhelm me...and others. Nick's nervous system slow-down breathing meditation has specifically helped me to reset. The reset has helped me immeasurably when I'm feeling anxious from being overly ADHD-stimulated and grounds me in a very real physical way. There is so much more in this course so I highly recommend it to anyone: Feeling that there are parts of themselves suffering through ADHD either socially or in general. Trying to understand why they are the way they are and how to integrate it so it works for you. Trying to get a handle on what can feel like a runaway train and the anxiety that can come with it. Or just adding to what you already understand about ADHD and ways to incorporate it gently. BE gentle with yourselves! Thank you Nick!

Divine Timing!
This course couldn't have come at a better time for me. I was in quite a dark place, with an endless list of things to do—things that had always been so easy for me before, but had suddenly become completely overwhelming. Instead of getting on with them, I'd spiral, hide away in my room, and feel unable to face the world. The way I spoke to myself was heartbreaking. I called myself every name under the sun and genuinely believed I was pathetic, lazy, and a total failure. One of the biggest gifts this pilot programme gave me was the realisation that I am not alone, and I am not broken or fundamentally flawed. My brain simply works differently. That shift allowed me to let go of so much shame I'd been carrying around all the unfinished tasks and expectations I felt I was constantly failing to meet. The course was presented in such a relatable, compassionate, and practical way. Nothing felt overwhelming or out of reach. The tools are logical, easy to understand, and simple to put into practice, even when you're struggling. Before taking this course, I felt deeply embarrassed and ashamed to ask even my closest friends for help. One concept that completely changed my perspective was learning that we all need community and that we can "borrow regulation" from others. That idea absolutely blew my mind and helped me see asking for support as a strength rather than a weakness. I've already started using many of the techniques I learned, and they are making a real difference to my self-esteem, my daily life, and my confidence that things can get better. I'm incredibly grateful to have been part of this pilot programme. It has given me not only practical tools but also hope, self-compassion, and a much kinder understanding of myself. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who has ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or like they're somehow failing at life. Thank you Nick for your knowledge and for holding space for us in such a beautiful way!

Being thankful
I appreciate being part of The Inner Compass method. I have been struggling to find and recognise myself in this world. I did not know the emotional abuse I endured up to the age of 23 by my mother. Everything changed when I moved out of her house and was thrown into a world I appreciate now. I still believed up to the age 28 years old that your family is your parents and siblings. I was fortunate that the family I was looking for was put in my path from the age of 23. I got the love I was expecting from my parents and my two younger brothers I never experienced from others. My family never accepted me, they have shunned me, my opinion was never accepted and was always wrong. It has taken other people to show me my worth. I was treated kindly by strangers for a reason, a season and now I have them for a lifetime. From their kindness I learnt how to accept kindness, later in my life I started treating myself kindly. I had a breakdown 6 years ago because of an experience because I was fighting for acceptance in an exclusive relationship. I sought help and was blessed to have my psychologist up until today and was diagnosed with ADHD 4 years ago. When this pilot project started I also just started meds for the first time. I am sorry I missed the second night, I was extremely overwhelmed with medication and intensity for me of the group. Too much resonated and I was overloaded, call me sensitive. I stopped the medication after 30 days on 1st July. The medication made a huge difference in me staying focused, I am somehow keeping the same momentum without meds thus far. Joining in the group has also contributed in my reset, knowing that there are others going through the emotions of ADHD. I am not ashamed by the term, I have told my peoples about it and they were happy for me. They see me differently as I have seen myself and support me to be a better version of myself. It is a fact we are all different, I am embracing my differences and we all have our part on this journey.

Give your self a gift...the gift of an Inner Compass.
Like many ADHD adults, old school ADD guy here, I found myself struggling with my new found diagnosis/awareness. I felt frustration, grief and experienced negative self talk and self judgement. I feel very lucky to have be included in the Pilot Launch of The Inner Compass Method. Participating in the group setting helped me see that I was not suffering alone. We were able to share experiences and reflect upon the past. It was done in such a way that helped me see my struggles were universal to neurodivergent people all over the world. It was healing to share my own negative experiences and view them through the lens of ADHD. The work done in class helped me process the feelings and emotions I have been wrestling with alone. Using the framework, I was able to re frame my outlook in a more positive way. I left being proud of where i am now, in spite of being wired a bit different. I recommend this course to anyone struggling with ADHD. Nicholas Aldridge is a kind teacher of this unique approach. I found the course materials to be easy to follow, and they were presented professionally and with a great amount of compassion. You owe it to your try this method out and find your Inner Compass.
