Hey all - I've been heads down producing CES, NRF and Davos - just now catching my breath and on a train up to NYC for the day. So much to reflect on as it relates to what happened in 2025, where we are as a society in 2026, and what it means for those of us who dare to dream big and make huge strides towards all of our goals. All of the events I've just produced delivered pieces of the puzzle for me and perhaps the biggest takeaway is that I've spent much of the past fifteen years weaving a tapestry of relationships that have all led to this moment. Everything I want to achieve is right in front of me and the players I need to participate are just waiting for the signal.
I look forward to jumping in with you and sharing more about the journey. Here are some definitive decisions I've made. I own Modev.com, Developers.AI (pre-launch), Ecosystem Partners which houses my consulting practice and The Tech Ecosystem Institute. And I've formed a holding company Unstacked Technologies - which is a Delaware C Corp to house these three entities. -- At Modev, we've let go of producing our own stand alone conferences. No more multi-day events with a blend of EXPO and programming. This is an old business and private equity driven concentration has changed the landscape such that the industry is driving to larger events, thousands of booths and a pure numbers game. So I'll be focusing Modev on smaller niche events like AI House, AGENTIC AI Davos and instead of GovAI Summit - we'll do highly focused side events and webinars to support public sector. Multi-day conferences take an incredible amount of planning and by letting these go, it allows us to partner with a few industry leaders and create high touch, high quality experiences.
Ecosystem Partners has signed two consulting clients and our goal is to get to ten core clients in 2026 - several deals in the works. The Tech Ecosystem Institute will launch an analysis tool in Q2 that will allow any organization to measure the health of their tech ecosystem. This will be a lead capture tool for the consulting practice.
Developers.AI is opening a $1.5m pre-seed round and will plan to launch an Alpha platform in Q2 that will provide a hard to attain certification for native AI development. With so much noise and overnight AI developers, the enterprise needs a high trust marketplace and that's what we're going to build. Hard to achieve, high value. Unstacked Technologies will serve as a holding company for the above entities. Across everything I'm doing I will also only be supporting technologies that benefit humanity. I will not take sponsorship or support any company that is being used for spyware, warfare or any use which harms humans or the planet we inhabit. There are too many great uses of technology out there that provide value to society and the planet.
Impossible Works LLC will remain my personal project and I'm uncertain of revenue model, but I am certain that this is going to be the X factor as I seek to build an incredibly strong portfolio of companies over the next 3-5 years.
The Impossible Summit is going to be February 24-26 in Boise, ID at the brand new Assemble Executive Retreat facility. There's room for ten people and the cost will be $1500 each that covers the space and all food from arrival to check out. Each attendee will bring an impossible goal and the group will help you chart the course for making it inevitable by the time we leave. Let me know if you're interested! Hope the year is off to a great start, thanks for your patience as I've just completed the most intense two month cycle to set the table for 2026.
Prompt: What is different about your impossible goal (s) in 2026 from what you believed in 2025?
