Iโve been clarifying something important behind the scenes โ what this space is actually for.
Broadly:
I support adults who care for children.
More specifically:
I support parents, teachers, and carers of neurodivergent and deep-feeling children.
More precisely:
I support adults who are living with constant emotional intensity, demand avoidance, meltdowns, shutdowns, and power struggles โ and who already know that traditional behaviour advice doesnโt work for the children in their care.
This community is especially relevant if pressure makes things worse, not better โ whether youโre at home, in a classroom, or in a care setting.
My work sits at the intersection of:
Nervous-system understanding
20+years professional childcare and early-years experience including SEN (Special Educational Needs)
Lived parenting experience with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)
and practical, relationship-protective strategies that translate across home and settings.
I donโt teach compliance.
I donโt use behaviour charts or reward systems.
And I donโt frame adults as the problem.
The core problem I help with is this:
๐ โI understand this child better โ but I still donโt know what to do in the moment.โ
Grounded Roots exists to close that gap.
This is a space for adults who want clarity, confidence, and realistic tools โ not trends, not scripts, and not performative practice.
If thatโs you, youโre exactly where you should be. ๐ฟ
