Hey Everyone, It’s my first post on here but have been hovering the community for the past few months! I recently got accepted into my departments recruit program and was wondering if anyone had some tips on the process. I’m currently in the fire academy so I have a head start on the Firefighting Curriculum, but was wondering if anyone had some pointers regarding the physical aspect of recruit program’s and what exactly I should be training for ahead of time / throughout the program. I train Crossfit and incorporate a lot of weighted stair master and HIIT sessions into my workout’s but am wondering if there is anything else I should be doing! Any advice is appreciated thanks!

Hey everyone I have my PAT next Saturday and I know we have 5 tasks to complete under 6:30 my question is if I have to complete all 5 tasks in under 6:30 or I have 6:30 to complete each task

Hi, just wanted to ask. Today was my 2nd week at the fire academy, and our second day donning all of our gear. I was terrible, even with the coat zipper that was kicking my butt. I was wondering if it was normal to struggle putting on all of the gear in a timely manner?. I see other guys on social media do it so well. Thanks in advance
