I'm a little late posting because on top of backlash from using up so much energy, I also have covid, so haven't been doing much more than sleeping and resting. Even though we only had a small crowd, I'm incredibly pleased with how well this event went, how my performers performed, how many sales my artists and authors made. I can say that we successfully changed the disability landscape in my Region. The question is can I keep this going? The answer is yes, I think I can. I have support from a Regional councillor, a City of Cambridge councillor and I'm on the Cambridge Accessibility Advisory Council and we have already made a proposal to create 1-2 events, and I have received an email from the Mayor of Waterloo also expressing support for holding an event in her city. What I do know is that I need venues, funding, and that I can't do this alone! I need to find a team to help support this dream to make it grow. I don't know what the future will bring, but I'm already going to start searching for more crafters, performers, magicians, musicians, poets, authors and artist, and more. If you know of anyone in the Waterloo Region, PLEASE have them reach out to me. I can't promise work, but I'm going to TRY!
