Welcome !! Please introduce yourself + share a pic of a favorite food!!
I’ve been wanting to bring this page back to life. I started The Feasting Freud years ago because once I got married in 2008, food became my place to learn, play, and figure myself out. I didn’t grow up knowing much about cooking, so I taught myself everything. I fell in love with fresh ingredients, real flavors, and the quiet joy of putting something good on the table. What hooked me wasn’t just the food. It was the way people soften around a meal. The way conversation flows when something warm is in front of you. The connection that happens when you feed someone with intention. So I’m here again. Cooking. Creating. Sharing the things that have carried me through seasons of life. Nothing fancy. Just food made with love and a lot of curiosity. If you’re here, welcome. Pull up a seat. Let’s eat together. Please introduce yourself and serenade me with your most delicious eats!!!

Fresh beats processed
I am always looking to create my food with the most fresh and unprocessed ingredients. Our world was created with an abundance of free flavor- and I LOVE innovating with what is fresh and unprocessed! Some of my best flavors have come from 24 hr chicken stock, slow cooking those bones for hours and hours creates what ‘gold would taste like’ if it were food. Herbs, freshly squeezed lemon juice, the balance that wine and honey bring to a vegetable based soup . Chicken soup broth based soup- fist 3 pics. 1. Matzoh ball soup 2. Ramen bowl 3. Hearty beef mushroom barley soup Next 2 photos are my vegan S’chug- raw ingredients make the most divine spicy kicking condiment- best over sourdough! It’s all things chili peppers cilantro fresh garlic cumin salt olive oil yellow pepper and lemon juice!!! Yumm!! Next photo my tomato burrata salad with my homemade cashew basil pesto and balsamic glaze (store bought). And last photo my hearty provincial vegetable bean soup- vegetarian!!! Obviously needs to be eaten with crusty sourdough bread!!! Who’s coming over ?!?
