Fresh beats processed
I am always looking to create my food with the most fresh and unprocessed ingredients. Our world was created with an abundance of free flavor- and I LOVE innovating with what is fresh and unprocessed! Some of my best flavors have come from 24 hr chicken stock, slow cooking those bones for hours and hours creates what ‘gold would taste like’ if it were food. Herbs, freshly squeezed lemon juice, the balance that wine and honey bring to a vegetable based soup . Chicken soup broth based soup- fist 3 pics. 1. Matzoh ball soup 2. Ramen bowl 3. Hearty beef mushroom barley soup Next 2 photos are my vegan S’chug- raw ingredients make the most divine spicy kicking condiment- best over sourdough! It’s all things chili peppers cilantro fresh garlic cumin salt olive oil yellow pepper and lemon juice!!! Yumm!! Next photo my tomato burrata salad with my homemade cashew basil pesto and balsamic glaze (store bought). And last photo my hearty provincial vegetable bean soup- vegetarian!!! Obviously needs to be eaten with crusty sourdough bread!!! Who’s coming over ?!?

What recent eats have brought you real joy?
I’ll drop a few of my recent joy filled eats!!! I hope we can create together and enjoy the joy of food in a live cooking session soon!! Photos: 1. Dinner board- my kids are steak obsessed and love a nice presentation. Joy for me here was how excited my kids were in setting this down on the table. 2. Challah- traditional Shabbat bread I make on the weekly. It warms my soul to continue thousands of years of tradition in my home weekly, and be passing this to my kids. I have several customers who purchase from me as well! 3. Deconstructed Asian noodle big bowl! I repurpose my 24hr chicken soup broth and hit it with huge Asian umami flavor !!! There is nothing but joy when your palette has that kind of Experience!!! 4. Sweet and sour Chinese chicken. My kids LOVE this. When I had my catering business this was my most ordered item!!! I love this. So simple. So delish! Sooo much joy!
