I've been off my feet since last Friday when I got the uh-oh scratchy throat...and you know what happens 48 hrs later. Anyway, it's behind me now and I'm ready to get back to the gym. It's too chilly for me outdoors in UK rn and I don't have the right gear. I'm finally, after 6 years (!) a weight I'm happier with (80kg, 6ft2) but I'd like to be 90kg...with a better stamina for runs. I'm nowhere near as stacked as Johnny, I've always been much leaner and lithe. I've been running 10mph for around 4-5 mins...then repeating 3 or 4 times...the rest I do dynamic weights or static weight bearing. I'd like to do something more fun - but I can't find something local that interests me other than "Bed By 10", a daytime dance club. How are you guys getting on? Oh -1 last thing. I've been following researchers who study the relationship to keto diet and mental disorders: from anxiety to depression, to bipolar and schizophrenia. The results with their patients in 6 weeks is astounding. I'm thinking of giving it a go as I am prone to low mood (which always improves with exercise). Anyone else tried a keto diet? My understanding is it's above-ground veg heavy (ie. no roots), very low carbs, berries , nuts, seeds and meat, fish, shellfish. I have a local supply of fresh venison so it seems like the perfect time. I've been a bread fiend all my life (even really good high quality sourdough la la la) but I don't think it's a good fit for me.
