Community🌾
Welcome to the Farm Fed Co-op! We’re really glad you’re here. This space is about connection — between people who care about food, farms, and building something more local, transparent, and human together. To kick things off, let’s break the ice 👇 Introduce yourself in the comments: - Where are you joining from? - What’s one food you try to buy local whenever you can? - Are you here as a shopper, a grower, or just curious? No pressure to be polished — this is a co-op, not a highlight reel. Jump in, say hey, and feel free to reply to someone else’s intro too. The more conversations we start, the stronger this community becomes 🌱 We’ll be hanging out in the comments with you. Let’s get to know each other.

The Farm-Fresh Community
Hey y’all 👋🌾 Farm Fed is coming — and we’re excited to share what we’ve been building 🤍 Farm Fed connects local farmers directly to you, making it easier to get real, farm-raised food without the guesswork. Meats, eggs, produce, and more — straight from the farm to your door 🥩🥚🥕 No middlemen. No mystery food. Just honest food from farmers who care 🚚✨ Life is busy — and getting to multiple farms or markets isn’t always realistic. Farm Fed brings the farm to you, while still supporting local farmers right here at home 🏡🌱 🚀 Launching soon — and we can’t wait to grow this community with you. Quick question 👇 Would farm delivery make it easier for you to buy local food? Drop your thoughts (or your favorite local farm!) in the comments 👂🤎 #farmfed #supportlocal #eatlocal #knowyourfarmer #farmfresh #localfood #wilsoncountytn #lebanontn

Farm Fresh vs. Grocery Store
Most of us grew up grabbing groceries from the nearest supermarket — but there's a lot happening between that farm and the fluorescent-lit produce aisle. Here's what you should know about choosing farm-fresh foods. Nutrient Density : Studies show produce loses up to 45% of its nutrients within days of harvest. Farm-fresh food reaches you within 24–48 hrs. The Supply Chain : The average grocery item travels 1,500+ miles. Farm-to-door shortens that to just a few miles — fresher, and fewer emissions. What “Fresh” Really Means : Grocery store eggs can legally be sold up to 45 days after packing. A farm-fresh egg is often less than a week old. Where Your Money Goes : Buying local keeps dollars in your community. Local farms recirculate ~68¢ of every dollar locally vs. ~43¢ from big-box stores.
