Goodbye series: Hook + Script
Context: I came up with a goodbye series before moving to Spain (this includes places and people). On Sunday, I will leave Mazatlán, which is a place I don't love. I want to make a lot of different videos with this concept. The first one is Goodbye to Mazatlán; the other will be Goodbye to my friends, family, etc. This is the Hook and Script I prepared. Hook: "This is the last time I'm saying goodbye to this city. And I mean that in the best way" Body: "Welcome to my series of saying goodbye to places and people before I move to Segovia, Spain. I spent half my gap year here because it's where my dad's from and where he works. This was never a place I wanted to spend my life. So I'm glad I'm leaving. But it's bittersweet — my parents are still here. So somehow, this place still has a piece of my heart. I'm not saying goodbye to them. One way or another, they'll always be close. I'm saying goodbye to the hard nights. Crying, wishing I was anywhere else. Praying something would change tomorrow. I knew it was temporary. But a place still holds the memories you made in it — and this time, I really hope it's the last time I have to. CTA: "I'm so happy to close this chapter and open one that changes everything. Follow along if you want to see how it unfolds." I was thinking of doing a vlog-style + voiceover with clips of me leaving and clips I already have from being here. What do you guys think?
Hi guys here is a script I am working on, I would love any pointers
My mission to only travel with one suitcase Hook: "I'm trying to move my entire life to Spain... with just one checked suitcase." "Now, before you think I've completely lost it yes, I'll have a carry-on and a personal item." "But my goal is to fit everything I truly need into one checked bag." "And honestly? It's become a lot more than a packing challenge." "I've already donated so many clothes that just don't feel like me anymore. Instead of paying to haul an old version of myself across the world, I'd rather leave that behind and make room for the life I'm building." "I've spent weeks making packing lists, organizing everything in Notion, weighing every 'just in case' item, and asking myself one question over and over: Do I actually need this?" "The truth is... I know I'm going to shop in Madrid. I love thrifting, I love finding quality pieces, and I'd rather build a wardrobe that fits the person I'm becoming than drag everything I've ever owned with me." "And there's also a practical reason." "I'd much rather move there with one suitcase and come home with three full of memories, clothes I genuinely love, and little pieces of the life I built abroad..." "...than show up with three suitcases and somehow have to figure out how to get seven back." Ex: (show random unconventional item) “ like for ex do I need this?”...”actually yea” "So this is officially my challenge." "Can I move my life to another country with one suitcase?" "I guess we're about to find out."

hook stacking — the formula i use for every single video now
this is the formula you need to start using for hooks moving forward: pain point hook → call out the exact problem they’re already living dream outcome hook → show them what’s possible if they fix it what this mean: 1. pattern interrupt → say something that stops the scroll 2. twist the knife → make the cost of staying stuck feel real 3. gold outcome → paint the win so clearly they have to keep watching example: “if ur a business owner that’s made a million dollars u need to watch this video, otherwise ur gonna end up spending an extra $100,000 in taxes — and if u watch this, you’ll end up with assets that will appreciate higher than real estate, s&p, and gold over the next seven years” that’s not luck. that’s structure. pain point, then dream outcome, back to back, before they even have a reason to swipe away. most people write one hook and hope it lands. this stacks 2-3 angles into the first line so there’s more than one reason to keep watching. your homework: pick your next video idea and write it 3 ways — pain point only, dream outcome only, then stacked. post all 3 below and I’ll tell you which one actually works.
What is the best way to generate hooks?
I feel like Im always running out of ideas for hooks and feel like you guys might be able to help. Thank you
