I bet you didn’t know that as a craft market host, I…
…notice which vendors arrive early and which ones rush in five minutes before the doors open. It’s not about judging anyone. But the vendors who arrive early usually have calmer setups, better displays and a smoother start to the day. From a host’s perspective, it makes a huge difference. Vendors — do you prefer arriving early, or are you more of a last-minute setup person?
Liking Your Own Comments/Posts
Hey! When I'm wrong, I say I'm wrong. A couple of days ago, I offered up some advice on liking your own posts and comments (To gain all the points you can). Well that very topic is sprouting up in most of the communities I personally belong to. Let me tell you what they're all saying: don't do it. Apparently, it throws off the algo. Still no word from Skool on this subject but once they do clarify, I'll let you know.

Vendor Wisdom Wednesday
One thing craft markets will teach you very quickly is that experience becomes your best teacher. You learn what products people pick up first.🧜🏼‍♀️ Which markets are worth returning to.🫰🏼How to pack your car like a puzzle master🚗. And how to stay calm when the weather, attendance or sales don’t go the way you hoped.😏 Those lessons don’t usually come from a course or a checklist. They come from doing the markets. So today I’m curious… 👉🏼What’s one piece of vendor wisdom you’ve learned the hard way? 🤔Something you wish someone had told you before your first few markets. Drop it below. Someone new to markets might really need to hear it.
Things Only a Vendor Would Understand
You spend days getting ready for a market. Packing the car like a game of Tetris. Double-checking your float. Making sure every bracelet, candle & work of art is exactly where it should be. Then the first customer of the day walks up. They pick something up. Look at it carefully. Turn it over in their hands. And then say… “I could probably make this myself.” Meanwhile, you’re standing there thinking about the hours of work, the materials, the practice and the late nights that went into learning how to make that one piece. ⭐Things only a vendor would understand. What’s something a customer has said to you at a market that made you smile … or made you want to laugh later? Let’s hear it.
Monday Gentle Start
A new week is here (How on earth are we already sitting at mid-March!?) and this is your little reminder that you don’t have to hit the ground running at full speed. Craft market life can get busy. Inventory to make, markets to plan, applications to send, social media to keep up with. It’s a lot. (A lot of Alotness!!) So instead of jumping straight into pressure mode, take a moment to reset. Ask yourself a couple of simple questions: 👉🏼 What’s one small thing I can do for my business this week? 👉🏼 What actually needs my attention right now? 👉🏼What can wait? Sometimes the best thing you can do on a Monday is slow down long enough to get clear again. If you feel like sharing, tell us: What’s one small focus for your business this week? It doesn’t have to be big. Small steps count too.
