Things Only a Vendor Would Understand
You spend days getting ready for a market. Packing the car like a game of Tetris. Double-checking your float. Making sure every bracelet, candle & work of art is exactly where it should be.
Then the first customer of the day walks up.
They pick something up.
Look at it carefully.
Turn it over in their hands.
And then say…
“I could probably make this myself.”
Meanwhile, you’re standing there thinking about the hours of work, the materials, the practice and the late nights that went into learning how to make that one piece.
