Everyone is asking these days whether AI will replace their job. As a mum of teenagers it’s definitely something we are considering when we look at prospective careers.
I think we’re asking the wrong question though ……
The real question is:
What skills become MORE valuable when AI can do more? What skills for the future do we need even more?
In my view, they’re the skills no technology can replicate…
Confidence.
Communication.
Leadership.
Emotional intelligence.
The ability to build trust.
As AI becomes more capable, these aren’t becoming less important—they’re becoming your biggest competitive advantage.
The professionals who stand out over the next five years are not necessarily going to be those who know the most.
They’ll be the ones who can think critically, influence others, communicate clearly, and lead with confidence.
That’s why investing in your confidence isn’t a “nice to have” anymore.
It’s one of the smartest career decisions you can make.
