TESTIMONIAL - MARIE KIRK
One of the most powerful pieces of feedback I've ever received wasn't about confidence, It was about peace. When Marie Kirk joined the programme, she wasn't sure whether it was even for her. In her own words: "I remember going into the first session thinking, 'Am I the right person for this? I'm 60. What can she possibly help me with?' " As the weeks went on, something began to change, not dramatically, not overnight but quietly and gradually. The noise and chaos she'd been carrying around for years started to fade into the background. Recently, she shared something with me that stopped me in my tracks. She said: "It's very hard to explain unless you've experienced it yourself, but for the first time in a very long time, I've felt a genuine sense of peace." She described sitting in her garden on a lovely day and suddenly realising she felt completely at peace. And for her, that feeling had been absent for a very long time. I think we often assume confidence is about speaking up more, feeling braver, or pushing ourselves harder. Sometimes confidence looks different. Sometimes confidence is feeling calm. Trusting yourself. Letting go of the mental noise. Finding space to breathe again. Marie, thank you for trusting the process and for sharing your experience so openly. Messages like yours remind me why I do this work. đź’™ #ConfidenceCoach#PersonalGrowth#MindsetShift#SelfConfidence#WomenSupportingWomen#EmotionalWellbeing#ConfidenceJourney#Leadership#SelfBelief#Transformation

What are the secrets to confidence in leadership?
Confidence in leadership: It's a set of habits you install in yourself to inspire others. ✔️ Slow down. ✔️ Stop apologising for your ideas. ✔️ Focus on presence, not perfection. Small changes in the way you communicate can completely change how you're perceived at work. 🎥 In this video, I share practical ways to build your leadership confidence and show up with greater impact. I'd love to hear from you. Which of these habits are you working on right now? What are the secrets to confidence in leadership?
Building Confidence as a Leader
There is a belief that many professionals quietly carry with them. "I don't feel like a leader." Sometimes it sounds like, "I'm not experienced enough." "I'm not confident enough, "I'm not the type of person people naturally follow." The interesting thing is that very few successful leaders begin their journey feeling completely confident. Most grow into confidence because leadership asks them to. You don’t have to be super confident to lead. Often, leadership is what develops confidence. Over the years I've coached women from very different backgrounds. Some managed large teams, others were preparing for their first leadership role, and many simply wanted to feel more comfortable speaking up in meetings. What surprised them most wasn't discovering new leadership techniques, It was realising how much of their struggle came from the story they had been telling themselves. "I need to know everything." "I can't make mistakes." "I have to prove myself." These beliefs create enormous pressure, which often results in: overthinking, second-guessing, holding back ideas, avoiding difficult conversations, and waiting until one feels "ready". The problem is that leadership rarely waits for perfect confidence. Instead, confidence grows every time you choose action over hesitation through: Every conversation you were nervous about. Every presentation you delivered despite the butterflies. Every difficult decision you made. Every piece of feedback you gave with kindness. These moments become evidence that you are capable. One of the biggest misconceptions about confident leaders is that they never experience self-doubt. They absolutely do, the difference is that they don't allow doubt to make every decision for them. They acknowledge it, then they move anyway. Leadership presence isn't about being the most charismatic person in the room either. It's about creating trust, people remember leaders who listen well, who stay calm under pressure, who admit when they don't know something, who create psychological safety, and who make others feel seen.

Building Confidence as a Leader
The Skills AI Can Never Replace
Everyone is asking these days whether AI will replace their job. As a mum of teenagers it’s definitely something we are considering when we look at prospective careers. I think we’re asking the wrong question though …… The real question is: What skills become MORE valuable when AI can do more? What skills for the future do we need even more? In my view, they’re the skills no technology can replicate… Confidence. Communication. Leadership. Emotional intelligence. The ability to build trust. As AI becomes more capable, these aren’t becoming less important—they’re becoming your biggest competitive advantage. The professionals who stand out over the next five years are not necessarily going to be those who know the most. They’ll be the ones who can think critically, influence others, communicate clearly, and lead with confidence. That’s why investing in your confidence isn’t a “nice to have” anymore. It’s one of the smartest career decisions you can make.

The Skills AI Can Never Replace
Which quality makes someone a truly confident leader?
You don't need the loudest voice in the room to be a great leader, In my opinion leadership isn’t loud. Some if not all of the strong valuable leaders I've worked with are thoughtful, calm and quietly confident. They don't dominate conversations, they create space for others to contribute, communicate with clarity and build trust through consistency. Unfortunately, many talented professionals never see themselves as leaders because they believe confidence looks a certain way. Thinking they need to be brash and loud and heard for that reason. Leadership confidence doesn’t require you to be loud, there is much more at play. I'm curious...

One of the biggest myths I hear is: "I'll become more confident once I'm in a leadership position." In reality, confidence is often what helps people step into leadership opportunities in the first place. Leadership isn't about perfection. It's about showing up consistently, making decisions, learning from mistakes and helping others feel confident too. I'd love to hear your thoughts below.
