Gods Watch
a song I'm working on - Mano God doesn't wear a watch the devil steals your time he runs on distraction But God's living in the rhyme complexity of simplicity God hiding in plain sight we to busy talking to hear His mighty plight I know this and you know that but wisdom seem to wait oh so patiently the Logos shines His rays Chorus Oh I fell apart All on my own Broke down on this highway Trying to get back home deep down in despair a life full of regret truth is never easy cuz the devil is quit a threat He'll steal my soul by wasting time reliving my mistakes but i never stop to think the struggles truly great for those lessons are revealed to those that choose to wait repentance mean to change By making mistakes great like a bee to honey follow what we were told forgiving trespassers before we grow old I sing this song as a hypocrite lying to your face patently waiting for God to give me Grace Chorus Oh I fell apart All on my own Broke down on this highway Trying to get back home extended (Chorus) Complexity of simplicity Simplicity of Complexity Zoom out tell me what you see By his will is how to be Devil gonna steal your time Whispering in your mind In your heart He will touch God doesn't need a watch

A simple song written in a diner in NYC gets stolen and becomes a big hit.
I was today years old when I found out about this. I have always loved this song. I remember being at a club and hearing it for the first time. The simplicity of the song is absolutely beautiful. I think I need to try listening to more Suzanne Vega. She may be one of those artists that is underrated. The days she's singing about in the song, is the NYC I knew when living there.
