For those that don't know Anna's blog is a well known archivist who's goal is to document and preserve all information on the internet. Theyve recently started to take on the monumental task of backing up the spotify library. That's around a petabyte of data. (1PB = 1,000TB = 1,000,000GB). So much music they had to reduce the quality just to fit it all.

Pills
I'm not sure if it's a Gen Z thing or a type of online culture that I'm not apart of but I've heard a variety of pills of different colors mentioned on streams lately and honestly have no idea what it means. Also includes king pilled? Is there queen pilled? They sound like comic villains haha. Anyways I've noticed it from time to time in SOS, royal path, and counterflow. As someone who doesn't like to take pills... can someone explain? The only context I know of is the red pill and blue pill from the matrix.

Cause Mano mentioned it, I'm putting this here.
I already shared this on my IG, but Mano brought it up on tonight's stream... This fits with the whole feels of this place and what he goes into. Recently dug up and went back to my ipod (that currently got disrupted cause now the screen went out, but I'm working on that...Thank God for my husband, who's a tech whiz... Hopefully the part coming will fix it...anyway...). Way less distracting. This year, there's been an uptick in ipod modding or opting into pure mp3 players (new or second hand), as people are thinking more about analog.

@Alexander Walker the normal fixes: Battery upgrade shell, clickwheel & button replaced LCD screen (currently pending) Modding part: Installed Rockbox to bypass Apple firmware. It's tricky to deal with, some report it gets weird, others are doing good, but it can switched to Apple version anytime. Most of this is just for neat themes and giving more techy feel. Rockbox also lets you be able to drag and drop music into the direct folder without itunes and needing to hit Sync. The real meat is moving your storage from that clunky disk to an iFlash to extend storage. You can do SD, Micro SD or SSD. For mine, I had a 30gb and upgraded for 512gb. (I know that all sounds like a lot. I could easily just get those HiFi players that have extendable storage options ready with the analog buttons. I'm just doing this cause it looked neat. I already had kept my old ipod, so why not? I liked the whole idea of personalization.)

@Alexander Walker Close to hitting 200gb. Have so much in my wishlist. Still running into older or newer things. Everything .mp3, always had to move around. Collecting and hauling boxes of CD's/vinyl feels too loaded for me (for now). Especially when I was out there doing RV life, need to think more nomadic/lite. Mp3 + mp3 player is a sweet spot, still purchasing them... Especially today, If it's independent small guys connected to communities still lingering around. Bandcamp, Amazon, or their direct website are my "record" stores.
