First off, I apologize for being a day late with this. We had a power failure yesterday, and it lasted for a few hours, causing all sorts of issues. I'm back on track today! Since the weather is warming up, it's time to move outside and get your outdoor space in shape for the summer we all hope is coming! If you have a deck, a patio, or a balcony, they have probably not had much love for the winter months. I know my patio has collected lots of dead leaves and dust, and the furniture needs a bath. I hope spring is in the air where you are๐Ÿฃ , and that the nice weather is motivating you to freshen up the inside of your home! If you are like me, you likely have a spring cleaning list as long as your arm,๐Ÿ“ƒ and you're wondering where you will get the time to do it all! For me, the best way to "๐‘’๐‘Ž๐‘ก ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’ ๐‘’๐‘™๐‘’๐‘โ„Ž๐‘Ž๐‘›๐‘ก" is one bite at a time! I like to do one room each day. Sometimes, due to time constraints or physical limitations, I have to quit half way through. It's OK if you don't have the time or energy to complete a huge task all at once. At least you started, and that's a big step to getting finished! Just get back at it the next day. This week - if you haven't already - get a start on your spring cleaning. Make a list of what you want to accomplish, and put it on the fridge where you can see it - DAILY! Begin with a task that is easy to do in a short amount of timeโŒ›. That way, you get "๐‘–๐‘›๐‘ก๐‘œ ๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘’ ๐‘”๐‘Ÿ๐‘œ๐‘œ๐‘ฃ๐‘’", and you get to cross one task off the list on the first day. You'll feel like you've accomplished something! Reward yourself with something special, like watching a movie, enjoying a favorite coffee drink, or perhaps a bubble bath๐Ÿซง๐Ÿ›€๐Ÿป๐Ÿซง. I don't know about where you are, but where I live, it is pretty much springtime - FINALLY! In honor of Spring, this week's challenge will give you a jump on your spring cleaning. The challenge this week is to read the article ๐Ÿ“–๐Ÿ‘€, then put your new knowledge to good use by doing what it says. If you've already cleaned your window screens, pick another spring cleaning related article to read, then do the chore. I'd like to challenge all of you (and myself) to do one small cleaning project each day this week. It could be something like clean and tidy a shelf in your laundry room, declutter and clean one cabinet in your kitchen, or declutter and re-fold one shelf in your linen closet. It always amazes me how just one little project can inspire me to do more of the same, and before I know it, I have the whole linen closet done, or the whole laundry room cleaned and tidied. By the time the week is over, I feel like I have accomplished something, and I don't feel guilty about taking a day off! Pick one small project each day, commit to it by telling us all about it here, then tell us when you've done it. This will be a shorter week so we get back on track - Sunday to Saturday. I'd like to challenge you all (myself included) to do one cleaning project each day. It doesn't have to be big, or to take a long time. It could be something like empty, clean, and organize your silverware drawer. Or clear everything off of your dining room table, wash and replace the tablecloth, and place a nice centrepiece. I find when the table looks nice, I am less likely to pile things on it. Pick one small project each day, commit to it by telling us all about it here, and tell us when you've done it.
