Pause Before Solving
Most people try to solve the situationwhile they’re still activated.
That’s why it keeps repeating.
The tool is simple:
Don’t solve it yet.
First:
  • Notice what your body is doing
  • Take one slow inhale
  • Take a longer exhale
  • Wait 10–20 seconds
That pause isn’t doing nothing.
It’s telling your nervous systemit doesn’t have to rush.
From there, you can ask:
Do I need to respond right now?
Or do I just feel like I do?
That question alone creates space.
And space is where better decisions come from.
