Reset Between Reps
In training, you donât rush from one rep to the next without resetting.
You pause.
You breathe.
You get your form back.
That reset is what makes the next rep stronger.
The same thing happens in real life.
When youâre dysregulated, your system is already under load.
If you keep pushing through:
- your reactions get sloppy
- your words come out faster than you mean them
- your control drops
Pausing isnât weakness.
Itâs what gives you control back.
You donât need to push through the moment.
You need to reset inside it.
That might look like:
- not responding right away
- taking one breath before speaking
- giving yourself a minute instead of forcing an answer
Control doesnât come from doing more.
It comes from knowing when to reset.
