Book Club April : Boy Giant Son of Gulliver
Hello Everyone,
Hope you all are doing well !!
Finally Spring is in the air. Very happy to see long and bright days. 🀩 The yellow carpet of daffodils πŸ’all around the city is definitely a sign for better days.
Usually when we think of giants πŸ‘Ή, huge monstrous characters are what comes to our mind. There are exceptions like the Genie in Aladdin, Roald Dahl's Big Friendly giant who are friendly and admired by all. I wonder whether babies think adults as giants πŸ€”? Can a boy be a giant ? But for whom? This is what we find out from this book Boy Giant by Michael Morpurgo. I always admired authors who introduce very serious topics to kids in a way that they can understand. Michael Morpurgo is one of them. Please try to read it before the book club and we can discuss further
πŸ˜‰Spoiler Alert: You would definitely be chanting some words after finishing the book.
Also I would like you to think about
1) Giants you have come across
2) Mini characters you admired in stories
Title: Boy Giant Son of Gulliver
Author: Michael Morpurgo
Looking forward to talk to you all
Happy Reading πŸ“–
