Book Club April : Boy Giant Son of Gulliver
Hello Everyone, Hope you all are doing well !! Finally Spring is in the air. Very happy to see long and bright days. 🤩 The yellow carpet of daffodils 💐all around the city is definitely a sign for better days. Usually when we think of giants 👹, huge monstrous characters are what comes to our mind. There are exceptions like the Genie in Aladdin, Roald Dahl's Big Friendly giant who are friendly and admired by all. I wonder whether babies think adults as giants 🤔? Can a boy be a giant ? But for whom? This is what we find out from this book Boy Giant by Michael Morpurgo. I always admired authors who introduce very serious topics to kids in a way that they can understand. Michael Morpurgo is one of them. Please try to read it before the book club and we can discuss further 😉Spoiler Alert: You would definitely be chanting some words after finishing the book. Also I would like you to think about 1) Giants you have come across 2) Mini characters you admired in stories Title: Boy Giant Son of Gulliver Author: Michael Morpurgo Looking forward to talk to you all Happy Reading 📖

This Book Club session was very interactive and informative. It was lovely to see kids sharing thoughts and recommending books. I recently read the book Infectious Generosity. Yesterday session reminded that every good initiative is infectious as well. Thanks @Sabah Hadi for organising this event.
Your holiday gifts
Learning Journey families, many of you have sent me your addresses for your holiday gift. You can read all about the vocab game book here https://amzn.to/408Igrv 🎁 I am tagging all those who sent me your addresses. @Vanessa Georgoulas @Anna Lawrence @Fatim Najafi @Sarah Bibi @Chandra Shekhar Tiwari @Zakia Bi @Joana Ekwuozor @Kasthuri Venugopalan @Shanila Hussain @Vin G @Hamsa Al-aqqad If you are not tagged here, you have not sent me your address or I have missed it. Message me on here right away so I can add you to my postal list. I arrived in London yesterday so I am catching up on all tasks. I haven't posted your gifts yet because a few of you may be away on holiday. I don't want your gift to get wet and cold outside. So you should get your gifts by 6th Jan. ❤️

Book Club October - Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
Hello Everyone, Hope you all are doing well !! Wish everything is going good in the new school year and looking forward for the half term 😊 (I learnt that this is the one of the longest term of 8 weeks) This is Kasthuri again here and from Hogwarts 😊 I am sure some of you must had potter mania at some stage of your life. For me it started when my kids were in year 3/4. At that point, most of the house hold items were of Gryffinndor, Slytherin, Harry Potter stationary, dress up costumes etc. That is the power of magic in J.K Rowling's Harry Potter series. I am blown-away with the details she had included in the wizarding world. Me and my son would like to share the joy with you all in this month book club. We are really excited to hear you stories too. Title: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Author: J.K Rowling See you all soon Potterheads 🤩

Year 3 Baseline Test
Hi everyone, @Mandy Broomhead and her excellent team have prepared a simple baseline test for children who have just begun Y4 - It tests maths, comprehension and vocabulary. Print it and have a go. Mandy are I are working together to produce quality 11+ preparation materials for your children. We will be around to help support children in a wide variety of ways over the academic year. Keep your eyes peeled for the FREE class this Sunday. And a major announcement in October that will ELEVATE your 11+ prep.🥳 My guidance for parents is an invaluable resource for parents, especially those who are preparing at home without a tutor or with little or ad-hoc tutoring. If you are just beginning this journey you are in the right place. The answers will be posted shortly.❤️
