ReMarkable releases a new digital notepad e-ink device
I'm a huge eBook reader. I spend 1-2 hours each night reading on my Kindle or Xiaomi 15. But one thing I always miss from my Galaxy Note devices is the ability to write and take notes. It's so handy for work related tasks and signing pdf's. So when I seen that Remarkable is releasing a new smaller note taking sized device, it quickly caught my attention! After looking at the specs, and the capability of the device though - it does feel a little bit lacking for the price. Anyone own the larger remarkable? What's your thoughts on this new device? ======= Specs: - Size & Price: The Paper Pro Move has a 7.3-inch color E Ink screen, about the size of a paperback, and costs $449 - Design & Specs: Compact (7.7" x 4.24"), lighter than the original, but with a slower 1.7GHz dual-core Cortex-A55 processor and a smaller 2,334mAh battery (up to two weeks of use). - Includes 64GB storage. - Screen Technology: Uses E Inkβs Gallery 3 panel for more vivid colors, though refresh rates are slower than standard Kaleido screens. - Limitations: Not a full e-reader β supports only PDFs and ePub, lacks an online bookstore, and has a dimmer front light compared to Kindle or Kobo devices. (bit of a bummer IMO) - Features: Focused on note-taking, with templates, handwriting-to-text conversion, annotation, and cloud sync. New features debuting on the Move include a movable toolbar and handwriting search. - Subscription: Advanced features (editing in mobile apps, Slack sharing, handwriting search) require a $2.99/month Remarkable Connect subscription after a 100-day trial. ======
