Why I created this tech community
Hey guys! Welcome to the Tech Banana Skool community🍌 👋 I'm VERY excited to have you here! Like many of you joining this community, I LOVE technology and I'm a big nerd at heart. Since I was about 10 years old, I've always been obsessed with the newest computers, gadgets, smartphones, watches and gaming consoles. It's been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. But, I've also felt like a bit lonely in my passion. I don't have any close contacts or friends that share the passion I do for the tech industry. My people (you guys) are online. And we share our passion through video content, reddit forums, websites and discord servers. But I feel like there's been a single dedicated place for us to congregate and talk about the thing we love the most. So my goal for this community is to have a positive and safe community to share new tech rumours, reviews, thoughts and opinions. And that's exactly why I created this online Skool Community. For tech heads to come together and share our passion. 🥇When you join the community for the first time: - Comment below, Introduce yourself, where you're from - what type of tech you love - Share your current daily driver (iPhone, Android, etc) - Share your personal review of a device you've just purchased - Connect, comment and join in the chats with others! - Share rumours/excitement for new devices - Be sure to pick the right category to post in (there's lots to choose from) - Be polite & respect others, and have fun :) ---- 🏠 A few housekeeping rules (view the rules page here) - NO hate speech - NO fighting or negative comments towards other members (this is an INSTANT ban) - NO affiliate links - Share your opinions, without being a dick. (Do so with respect for other members) - Keep things positive, fun and upbeat. - One Product vs. Another product chats are fine, as long as you keep the conversation friendly without insulting one another.

Google Brings Audio Sharing with Bluetooth LE & Auracast
Remember when you used to ride the bus with your friend, and had to share one headphone each? Bit of a pain in the neck right?! Well, here's some pretty good news for Pixel users! Google is bringing a big audio upgrade to Pixel 8 and newer phones 🎧. Thanks to Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast, you’ll be able to stream music or podcasts to two sets of headphones at once, perfect for sharing on trips or movie nights. Friends can even join a private broadcast by scanning a QR code or using Fast Pair, as long as their headphones support LE Audio (nice!) Alongside that, the new Pixel Buds Pro 2 get Adaptive Audio and Loud Noise Protection 🔊, blending noise cancellation with environmental awareness to keep you safe while still enjoying immersive sound. (Sounds similiar to what AirPods Pro 2 do with it's Adaptive mode - so a nice welcome addition for sure).

ReMarkable releases a new digital notepad e-ink device
I'm a huge eBook reader. I spend 1-2 hours each night reading on my Kindle or Xiaomi 15. But one thing I always miss from my Galaxy Note devices is the ability to write and take notes. It's so handy for work related tasks and signing pdf's. So when I seen that Remarkable is releasing a new smaller note taking sized device, it quickly caught my attention! After looking at the specs, and the capability of the device though - it does feel a little bit lacking for the price. Anyone own the larger remarkable? What's your thoughts on this new device? ======= Specs: - Size & Price: The Paper Pro Move has a 7.3-inch color E Ink screen, about the size of a paperback, and costs $449 - Design & Specs: Compact (7.7" x 4.24"), lighter than the original, but with a slower 1.7GHz dual-core Cortex-A55 processor and a smaller 2,334mAh battery (up to two weeks of use). - Includes 64GB storage. - Screen Technology: Uses E Ink’s Gallery 3 panel for more vivid colors, though refresh rates are slower than standard Kaleido screens. - Limitations: Not a full e-reader — supports only PDFs and ePub, lacks an online bookstore, and has a dimmer front light compared to Kindle or Kobo devices. (bit of a bummer IMO) - Features: Focused on note-taking, with templates, handwriting-to-text conversion, annotation, and cloud sync. New features debuting on the Move include a movable toolbar and handwriting search. - Subscription: Advanced features (editing in mobile apps, Slack sharing, handwriting search) require a $2.99/month Remarkable Connect subscription after a 100-day trial. ======

DJI Pocket 4 Leaks
Hey guys, As someone who owns and LOVES the DJI Pocket 3, I'm REALLLLYYY excited to see what they do with the next update. There's some rumors floating around the the DJI Pocket 4 will have the following specs: - 1-inch CMOS sensor (~12MP) with possible Hasselblad color science 4K video at up to 240fps for ultra slow motion 2.5-inch OLED touchscreen (800+ nits brightness) - ActiveTrack 7.0 using dual-camera depth data 10-bit D-Log M and HDR recording - Size & Weight: Expected to weigh around 190g (vs. 179g for Pocket 3) — a small increase suggesting internal hardware upgrades. - Release Window: Later 2026 (not confirmed yet). - Pricing: Expected between $599–$699, up from the Pocket 3’s $519 launch price. There's a few early leaked images - mostly pretty blurry and crappy, but a dual camera with 240fps ultra slow mo sounds absolutely nuts. What do you guys think of the new specs? Do you own the DJI pocket 3?

Xiaomi 15 Review - 30 Days of Use
Alright guys.. after 30 days of use, I’m ready to give my detailed thoughts on the Xiaomi 15. Here we go! So prior to swapping to the Xiaomi 15, I was using the iPhone 13 Pro max. An awesome device, with a fantastic camera and even better battery life. Personally I think the 13Pro Max was peak iPhone. But I eventually got sick and tired of how heavy the device was. Carrying a brick in your pocket gets tiresome after a few years. Reading in bed, or trying to use the device with one hand was basically impossible. So I went on the hunt for a new device. ------------------------ For me, it had to have the following: - A great display - A great battery life - A flagship camera - A smaller footprint - Good speakers - Fast charging/Wireless charging At first, I was going to opt for the s25 or Pixel 9. Both great devices, but I felt both devices were lacking something.. So I keep hunting for something else. I was super close to buying the Vivo X200FE, but it lacked wireless - something I use every night. A found a used Xiaomi 15 (Global) on eBay for $750 AUD. It was only used for a few days, so I made the decision to snap it up. I made a few videos over the course of 30 days to share my experience of using the device. You can watch them here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpWZ2NKr6p0dt6AZL2ua-bQAUTMYiS5R4 Key specs of the Xiaomi 15: ------------------------ Display: 6.36-inch OLED with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 3,200 nits peak brightness. Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (3nm). Operating System: Android 15 with Xiaomi HyperOS 2. RAM/Storage: Available with various RAM options (e.g., 12GB/16GB) and up to 1TB of storage. Rear Cameras: 50MP Leica main camera (wide) with OIS. 50MP Leica telephoto lens with OIS. 50MP Leica ultrawide camera. Front Camera: 32MP camera. Battery: 5,240 mAh capacity. Charging: 90W wired and 50W wireless charging. Durability: IP68 water and dust resistance.
