Morning Pour ☕
Good morning, sisters 🧡I was in prayer this morning, and I asked the Lord to give me my assignment for today. I asked Him for a word for you, and He led me to Romans. More specifically, Romans 10:1, 14-15. 1 Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved. ... 14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!" Paul's love for God and his compassion for those who do not know Jesus are clear in these passages (read the entirety of chapter 10). Our experience of God's grace should motivate us to share the Good News with others and to pray that they will believe! Is your heart burdened for non-believers? The questions in verses 14-15 are rhetorical. These questions are asked to make a point, to emphasize an idea, and to create a dramatic effect rather than to get an actual answer. Paul knew the answer to all of these questions, sisters. We do too. The logic is clear: 1. People will call on Jesus to save them only if they believe He can do so. 2. Believing in Jesus cannot exist without knowledge about Him. 3. A person hears about Jesus when someone proclaims the saving message. 4. The message about Jesus will not be proclaimed unless someone is sent by God to do so. Isaiah 52:7, "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, "Your God reigns." Our God reigns! Today, pray that the Holy Spirit sends you out and sends you people you can share the Good News of Jesus Christ with. Pray for boldness as the Lord presses on your heart that "this is the one to talk to." Pray that Holy Spirit empowers you and brings to your remembrance God's Word and all that Jesus has said to you.
