April Outreach & Prayer Walk - Old Mill Park
Hi sisters! Registration is still open for our April Outreach & Prayer Walk! We will meet on April 25th from 10am-12pm in the big parking lot at Old Mill Park first, then walk alongside the river and pray. We believe that while we're walking, God will give us insight into what to pray for and whom to pray for. God's promises will be the focus of this prayer walk, and NOT the enemy's schemes! If you're willing to align with the Spirit of God and with the Word of God, we want YOU to join us. This will be a family affair, so bring your husbands, fiancés, children, parents; everyone is welcome to intercede for our city! Prayer points and Scripture will be emailed out the day before, so you are prepared. Click the link below to sign up. We can't wait to see you 🧡 https://www.eventbrite.com/e/tea-time-testimony-april-outreach-prayer-walk-old-mill-park-tickets-1984417240385?utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&utm-medium=discovery&utm-term=listing&utm-source=cp&aff=ebdsshcopyurl

Testimony Tuesday/One thing God delivered me from...
What is something God has freed you from? Emotionally, mentally, spiritually, or physically? *Your testimony matters, and it could be exactly what your sister needs today.* Please share below. This is a safe space 🧡

God has freed me from people pleasing. I would go to great lengths to please other people. This showed up in ALL my relationships. I masked it as just being a nice person. Behind the mask was a woman who struggled with abandonment and rejection issues. I was everyone's cheerleader for the wrong reasons, even when they were wrong! I wanted them to know I was on their side. I didn't want them to leave my life and listen; I wanted to hold on to people. I didn't say "no." I even drank to please people, so I would fit in with everyone else. In 2023, God told me to stop it. Stop the people pleasing, and stop the drinking. He showed me myself, and it wasn't pretty. Enough was enough. The Holy Spirit convicted me, and it was rough. As a matter of fact, I still have the picture in my phone as a reminder. As far as I had come in my journey with the Lord, I was still putting other people and myself above Him. In December 2023, I had my last drink, and glory to God, I've been sober ever since and going strong. Along with saying no to drinking, I was also empowered to say NO to whatever didn't give me peace. No to whatever I glorified above God. "Friendships" that were one-sided, situations, no, even in my own family and in my household! God reminded me of my identity. My identity in Christ is the most important thing about me. Everything and everyone else is secondary. I am and will always be loved by my Lord and Savior. Isaiah 43:1 "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine."
Morning Pour ☕
Good morning, sisters 🧡 Yesterday, my 14 year old daughter asked me a question that stopped me in my tracks (I was on my way to church). "Mom, why does God allow bad things to happen?" Not the question I was expecting her to ask as I was heading out the door, but I knew I had to take the time to be intentional with my answer, even if that meant I had to be late. First, let's be clear. I know where this question is coming from. It's coming from the world. It's coming from friends at school or maybe even family members who have questions, who are a different religion, or have chosen not to believe in God. Aubri is a believer. She's saved. She reads her Bible. This moment, God was telling me that yes, we've set a good foundation for her, but it's not enough. A prophet of the Lord told me two weeks ago to "get my house in order." The enemy knows her anointing and her gifts and wants her to question her identity in Christ Jesus. I'll save this discussion for another post, but let me get to what I told her: I told her that we live in a fallen world. God didn't create a world full of suffering. In the beginning, everything was good (Genesis 1). Sin was introduced in Genesis 3. What we see is the result of a fallen world. She knew that part. Our Father God allows things, but He doesn't waste anything. Nowhere in the Bible does it say everything is good, but it does say God can work all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Pain and suffering can be used for growth and for bringing us closer to Jesus. I told her that sometimes the thing that we're going through is what God uses to reveal Himself to us. I told her that we live in a world where we have free will. We have choices. God could force people to do what is right all the time, but then love wouldn't be real. You have to choose love. You have to choose God. I'm thankful that I had that moment with my daughter. It showed me where I need to step up! I can't assume that as believers, we know God's Word, and it also reminded me why I'm here. What my purpose is. To be an ambassador for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:20), and to be a strong example to my children. To allow them to see me walk in boldness for Jesus, so they can, in turn, do the same thing. To send them into the world prepared, so when they are questioned, they can answer confidently and boldly.

@Chivon LeSassier It's the revelation for me. With all you've endured over the past year, you could've allowed that to pull you away from God. Instead, you leaned closer. You depended on Him to be your strength, your joy, your everything. You sat at His feet. You were obedient, even when it was hard. Even while being there as a caregiver, as mom, as wife, as daughter, and as a friend. When I was reading, it reminded me of a "Job" moment. "Though he slay me, I will hope in him" (Job 13:15). Job refused to curse God or allow his faith to waver, even when his own wife told him to curse God, move on, and die. You persevered and allowed that season to strengthen your relationship with God. You know Him on another level, a deeper level. Thank you for this testimony of God's goodness, Chivon! I love you!

@Sharisa Seabrook Thank you for these words. You said that my daughter asking that question is proof that her mind and spirit are awakening, not drifting. That was revelation for me. When she asked the question, I immediately went into defense mode. Because honestly, it's not the first time she has asked it. Perhaps her asking the question is to be prepared in case it is brought up again. So being on the offense instead of defense. Thank you, sister, for that perspective! We had a follow-up conversation today, just to circle back to make sure she understood, and she said something that blessed me. She said, "Mom, 2020 you and you now are two totally different people." All I could do was praise the Lord in that moment 🧡Glory to God for transformation 🧡

How Can We Believe God For You Today?
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, "Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." The Lord reminded me that as His daughters, we are a sisterhood and a community rooted in prayer. Ladies, be vulnerable and add your prayer requests to this thread. Somebody needs this. I'm not sure who, but let us pray for you. I want to challenge everyone to take a moment to read and pray for our sisters who are in need. As Scripture says, we should rejoice and be grateful for all that God is doing in our lives and in all circumstances. God's will for our lives is to always be in prayer! How can we pray for you, sis?

I'll go first. Sisters, please pray for my cognitive ability. Lately, my brain feels like it's working overtime. Like it's trying to keep up or something. Specifically, for my memory, attention, reasoning, and how quickly it processes information. Thank you, and I love y'all 🧡

@Sharisa Seabrook To God be the glory. Thank you so much for your prayers for everyone! I stand in agreement and am believing God for clarity and strength as you navigate this season. Proverbs 16:3 (NIV) "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans." I love you sister 🧡
