Big news for California CPAs!
AB 1175 just passed - major changes coming to CPA licensing in CA (effective Jan 2027):
What's changing:
- ✅ Bachelor's degree with accounting concentration
- ✅ 2 years experience
- ✅ Pass the CPA exam
- ❌ NO MORE 150-unit requirement!
Why it matters: The expensive "5th year" barrier is gone, making it more accessible to enter the profession. Plus, more flexible experience options and better mobility for out-of-state CPAs.
