Did you know that taking regular breaks can improve your productivity AND help your eyes?
The Pomodoro Technique is a simple time-management method that encourages you to work in short, focused sessions followed by breaks.
It was invented by an Italian medical university student, Francisco Cirillio in 1987.
He used a timer in the shape of a tomato, hence the name Pomodoro = tomato in Italian
⏱️ 25 minutes: Focus on your work.
🌿 5 minutes: Take a break, move around, and relax your eyes.
🔄 Repeat four times, then take a longer break of 15–30 minutes.
During the 15 minutes break after 2 hours of work, you take an S-13 moment,
to loosen your shoulders
increase blood flow,
increase agility.
How does this benefit your vision?
When we stare at screens, we tend to blink less and keep our eyes focused at the same distance for too long. This can contribute to dryness, eye fatigue, and blurred vision.
During your five-minute break:
👁️ Look into the distance to relax your focusing muscles.
🚶 Get up, stretch, and release tension in your neck and shoulders.
☀️ If possible, step outside and enjoy some natural daylight.
These habits can help reduce digital eye strain and support visual comfort while helping the back be pain free and sharpen the mind.
