🇨🇦 3 Canadian Universities I Recommend for Full Scholarships (Master's Degree)
If you're serious about pursuing your Master's Degree in Canada for FREE, then you need to be applying to these 3 scholarships. 1️⃣ McCall MacBain Scholarship (McGill University) 2️⃣ Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (McGill University) 3️⃣ Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (University of British Columbia) How to Apply: 1️⃣ McGill University (McCall MacBain Scholars Program) Apply for the scholarship first before applying to McGill for admission. The application portal opens June 1, 2026 at mccallmacbainscholars.org. You'll need to complete the online application form, upload your CV/resume, provide transcripts, and submit two reference letters—one academic and one that speaks to your character and leadership. Current students and recent graduates must get an endorsement from their university before submitting. International applicants have a deadline around August 20, while Canada/US applicants have until around September 24. If you're selected as a finalist, you'll then apply to your chosen McGill program by December, and approximately 85 finalists will be invited to Montreal for in-person interviews with travel costs covered. 2️⃣ Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program (McGill University) Start by confirming your eligibility on the McGill Mastercard Foundation website. You must register for and attend one of their mandatory information sessions... this is the only way to receive the link to the application form. Complete and submit the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program application by the deadline. If you pass the pre-screening phase, you'll receive a fee waiver and detailed instructions to apply for admission to McGill. Do not apply directly to McGill or contact professors before being invited. Only students who receive the fee waiver through the scholarship application will be considered for the award. The application typically opens in August with a deadline in late August or October.
